I don't really think there will be. It was just confirmed LOE won't have any, so I wouldn't be surprised if they ditched the shorts format altogether.

I wish they would, the wait is killing me! But as said above, now it's been announced that they won't, it's most likely that this marks the end of the shorts. Possibly forever.

Even if there are no shorts to give us a preview of the movie, that might be for the best since it would not just build hype, but also be a bit on the spoiler side as well since it could give away some of the plot.

I don't think there will be shorts. In Equestria Girls, the characters are humans, so the shorts aren't a bad idea, but in the movie, the characters will remain ponies, and we already have the show for that, so shorts seem kinda redundant. Plus, like cmarston1 said, there won't be any shorts for LOE, so it's possible Hasbro is done with that sort of thing.
