What if the Cutie Map summoned Shimmy?

First of all...(happy Sunset Shimmer Day!) Secondly,could it? SG altered the map beforehand, to combine it with Starswirl's spell to alter timelines, and later, the map got fixed. But what if it wasn't 100% back to how it had been? E even with two of the most magically skilled characters repairing it, there's always room for error, right? Especially since no one REALLY knows how the ToH and it's map, by extension, works. So what if it were to "glitch", from some remnant left due to magical tampering, and pull pony Shimmy from an alternate timeline into FiM? Could it? Would Shimmy be a foal? Alicorn princess? Evil? What would the effects, and plotline around it be?

she WAS, though, during her schooling with Sunbtt. She was born pony. And the map had a spell that took them to the PAST, and caused different timelines. So, technically,Shimmy could be summoned, I would think

...hypothetically, yes, that's a perfectly plausible fanfiction idea, but that's pretty obviously not going to happen in the show. Hasbro does not want to cross the streams, and for whatever reason seems to be less and less willing to do so as time goes on. Not sure why some sort of EqG spinoff couldn't have that happen, as I doubt anyone watches EqG without being familiar with FiM, and the show could easily pretend that never happened. But EqG seems to be mentioning the ponies we know from Equestria less and less frequently, so that's not likely either.

Maybe because she isn't part of the round table at Twi's castle. It might change with Starlight later though, but I don't think Sunny will have that chance. Firstly, if there's a chance to EARN being summoned by the map, I believe said pony should be at least close to the castle and so something worthy to earn the spot, but Sunny is not even on that dimension. Besides, I think Sunny has her hands full with magic making the human world go bonkers  :-P

She wouldn't have had to earn a place at the table if it was running amok, when they thought it was fixed. Neither of them know how the Tree really works, and by extension, it's map, so who knows what underlying damage they could've done to the magic of the map?

It still wouldn't make sense. Sunset isn't in rhe show, and won't be. I don't know why people keep wanting her to. She has no reason, and even if it is an accident, she doesn't belong outside the EG universe.

well yeah, but that's kind of like saying "Robin would be a better replacement for batman than Azbats"

its not really a debated question XD, even most people who dislike EQG think Sunny is better than Glimmer.

If we can use the comics, then according to them in the timeline Sunset Shimmer went to the Equestria Girls universe before the mane six got their cutie marks, as a young Twilight could be seen at one moment in the comic still without her cutie mark. So based on that, there would have been no affect on Sunset Shimmer, and there was no indication during the events of Friendship Games that the past was being retconned and Sunset had at some point gone back to Equestria to have gotten a link to the map.

 

And I believe it's only the mane six that are linked to the map since the map along with the rest of the castle, weren't just created by the tree. It came from the chest that required the six keys gained by the mane six over the course of season 4, along with it using a rainbow that only used the mane six's colors to travel to the part of Ponyville where the castle now resides.
