Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,303 September 25, 2016 Share September 25, 2016 (edited) That this fandom isn't an oppressed minority and that it's incredibly silly to "come out" as a brony. And what's even sillier is when someone feels as though they absolutely have to remain a "closeted Brony." Hide the merch; don't wear that pony shirt out in public. I'm sure there are environments where people actually might get flack, but 1) most people won't particularly care and 2) it's very unlikely that anyone's going to be beaten up and thrown in a ditch over it. Babyyoshi309 1,829 September 25, 2016 Share September 25, 2016 (edited) Clopping is a thing some people do. Most bronies don't deny that some people do it, they just shun those who do. Lot of these comments are more like "Fact that I believe in but others won't admit." I am pretty sure that is this entire point of this thread. You can't have a fact "people know but won't admit" and have proof. It is impossible to have proof if no one will admit it. Altastrofae 933 September 25, 2016 Share September 25, 2016 What I know is true, but don't like to talk about, is the fact that MLP is a kids show, and yet we can't stop watching. What's up with that? Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,303 September 25, 2016 Share September 25, 2016 That it's ridiculous for a bunch of adults to closely analyze and subsequently criticize a series originally intended for children as though they were the intended audience and each episode's content should hold up when subjected to the same arbitrarily-significant and painfully meticulous scrutiny. 6 "It uses the faculty of what you call imagination. FlootahBabby 265 September 26, 2016 Author Share September 26, 2016 (edited) We all do love Cheetos. C'mon, you know you do. I mean, I can eat them, but Takis are pretty much just Cheetos but better. (And I always eat them with a paper towel or latex gloves. I don't like getting the dust on my hands). Anneal 2,197 September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 That watching MLP has already become a normal thing and that most of society isn't hating bronies for it.
Rawzy 1,302 September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 That most bronies are more mentally challenged than most people Think For Yourself. Be Yourself.
Heavenly Inexplicit 309 September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 This will all come to an end. I don't know if other bronies are reluctant to admit this, but I sure am! I'm having too much fun. That's just the way the universe works. Things come, and things go. No matter how shiny it is. Anyways, that's what I think. Goodnight everypony! cmarston1 5,959 September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 (edited) We aren't the main demographic for this show. At the end of the day, as much as I enjoy the show a lot, it is targeted at a younger demographic than I am. The original rating for the show for season one was EI which explains the whole explaining what hibernation is from Winter Wrap Up. Nowadays it is rated TV Y and I don't really see anything in the show that would warrant a higher rating. Heck, in Twilight's Kingdom, the writers were contractually obligated to have Tirek and Twilight not physically hit one another. Plus ever sense day one, Hasbro has been using FIM as a 22 toy commercial for children. If you want to compare this show to other cartoons but ones that are meant for teenagers/adults, such as things like Bojack Horseman and Rick and Morty, you can see quite the huge difference in the types of struggles the characters go through, and the types of themes that are presented in the show. At the heart of it all, FIM is a bright upbeat, colorful cartoon, that teaches life lessons about friendship, and is used to sell toys to small children. FluffyGoat13 375 September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 One thing no one likes to admit, but is very very true; The fact that we watch and like this show is really quite weird. I'm not even sure why I, personally, like the show. I just do. 1 "I love deadlines.
