Welp, I hope part 2 salvages this one.

 

For one thing, it is really annoying to be reminded of the US presidential elections inside of one of a fandom that I use for abnegation...
But more damning, it was just boring.  

 

I didn't really care about the mayor, and this didn't change that...much.
Her one major virtue is her unflappable nature.  even when everything is on the brink, she tries to calm others down.  She can be scared to death, but still in control and thinking logically.

What was added in this comic is also her belief in the electoral system, and wanting what's best for ponyville, "even if that pony may not be me".  

 

I feel like I laughed at something, but i forgot what it was and can't find whatever it was.  

 

The most interesting parts of the issue was that Filthy Rich was surprised by the second collapse.  It seems like he wasn't in on the first one to undermine Mayor Mare.  

 

Really not a big fan of Garbowska's style either, but having a rotating artist pool is a major plus in the comic system, so whatever.
