Shopping Violence.

Those are some shocking discounts they're having.

It's disgusting how people will attack each other for the chance of getting something on discount...it's pathetic how willing people are to turn into animals.

What? Why did they keep tasering him when he was already pinned on the ground?

They weren't moving him all over and up and down... he was the one resisting what appears to be (based on the uniform and sidearm) a recognized member of law enforcement.

If they have a subject down, and are cuffing him, the subject should STAY down and let them cuff him. Anything else and they are empowered to use non-lethal force in order to ensure the subject's compliance and their (the officer, the subject and all bystanders) safety. If they resist, the situation can escalate and endanger the officer and bystanders, which could result in a lethal force situation (not desirable and the officer is required to keep it from escalating into that).

Thats Messed up...

Not so impressive as it may look. Call me heartless, but I've seen worse than this. I'm still amazed though, and not in a good way.

yay~

I take writing commissions.

A cop is supposed to use the MINIMUM neccessary force in order to subdue an attacker. No one on the ground when there are 3 cops around should EVER be tased short of being on PCP or being someone who can throw a cop off of him and is a dangerous hazard to others.

EVER

Any cop involved with the tazing should lose their job or have to go through retraining. Period. End of discussion on the cops rights.

Now...

That's the kind of electrifying deal that shocks someone when static prices go away as customers are negatively charged for a dynamic price. Hopefully next time he can keep his electrons in order so that he doesn't end up zapped from a chain lightning sale next black friday.

And that's my overuse of puns for today.

When I glanced at the thread title I thought for a moment that it said 'Shipping violence'

At any rate... I make a point to never do any shopping what so ever on black Friday.

Of course, it's black friday.

Everyone needs those microwaves!

The sad truth is that is what some of them are attacking each other over -_-

Well now I'm definitely happy that I chose not to get a job in retail! Now I'm not going to comment on the use of electroshock weapons (since that's a whole 'nother can of worms so to speak), but as for shopping provoked violence, I suppose It's just one of the many means that people use to generate conflict. From my experiences, some people just love to start trouble, and will use any situation as a catalyst to precipitate such an event.Perhaps i'm wrong, perhaps this shopper was just having a shitty day, and this was just enough to tip him over the edge.Either way it dosent make me angry, sad or worried, just a bit disappointed.

Since many stores have opened around midnight this year, all of the crazies go right at midnight. If I'm not mistaken Best Buy banned people from tenting out in front of the store. I was watching the news one day and one guy set a tent in front of Best Buy one and a half weeks before black friday. Now thats just a little too extreme. I find it quite amazing how far people will go on black friday, if I'm not mistaken in the past people have died from accidentally tripping on something and then being trampled to death due to all of the crazy shoppers trying to get ahead of everyone. A way to prevent this? Don't go at midnight. It won't be as busy in the morning and the sales are still going on, even though everything might not be there. Edited by SDY
