Should each member of the mane six get a finale worthy two parter of their own?

There's no telling how much more seasons we're getting but I always fancied the idea of centering on member of the mane six to reveal a very long charted story on him/her whether it's something from their past that they must overcome or face.

Applejack for instance... maybe her parents were heroes and Applejack and her family are actually from a traditional line of heroes? The kind that would feed the unfortunate. I've wondered, the Apple Family reminded me of the story of Johnny Appleseed. Could they have a legacy of spreading seeds across Equestria and bringing food to all ponies making sure they didn't starve out while exploring Equestria? The Apple Family may have had many children to help propagate more seeds across Equestria.

It would be nice to see other members of the mane six save the day, it still would have the problem of the rest of the group not doing much in order for one specifically getting a lot of focus.

I don't think having finale after finale or premiere after premiere focusing only on one character at a time is the best idea. Unless they filled a season with character specific two-parters, which would certainly be something new, but it'd really lower the amount of stories told in that season.

Maybe one-part episodes though, where each of the mane six get's to be a "Hero" on there own would work. Something like the season 4 key episodes, but with more serious adventure episodes instead of the Friendship lessons and element tests. Maybe the map calls them one-by-one to different places?

It'd probably be part of an arc, but I'm not sure what for.

Twilight is best pony.

Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to?

I like the sound of the idea, but I don't think they should focus on single characters. At the very least though, make a finale about a duo, lke Pinkie and Flutters or something, revealing stuff about them that we never knew. Since these are two parters that is more than enough time to do so. It almost would make the finales be slice of life episodes, which sadly that doesn't seem to be a priority for finales these days, but I can see why. They want to go out with a bang and those type of episodes don't fit that slot.

Not the biggest fan of the example, but I guess it'd be nice to give each character double time to shine. I honestly don't see much a two-parter could do that a single episode couldn't, honestly, and I kind of want to see fewer two-partners overall.

A slice-of-life finale sounds really great. I would absolutely be behind that, and I really wish that recent finales weren't so focused on a big villain to be conquered.

Not sure we could work it that way for premiers or finales... but I would not mind two parters with more of the mane 6 having solo adventures. I suspect the writers would steer us to the comics for those though. I really just want to see more of them working together as a group more though instead of bouncing around all over the place by themselves.

Should they?
YES.

*WILL THEY*? No. Hell no. Nonononono. There is a better chance of there being free snowcones in hell than there is of them doing any focus two parters on the other 5.
Pretty much, you wanted Focus episodes that show the other five saving the day in some manner? Season 1's About the closest you'll get to that where they stressed the other 5's Good points HARD and made sure to have the episodes be about "Hey, this is this character, and THIS IS WHAT MAKE THEM AWESOME".

Episodes like Dragonshy, stare master, Sonic rainboom, episodes that showcased the Mane six to their fullest, while later episodes would generally tone this back a bit. Its like how In Shows like sailor moon, you'd get 5 episodes in the first season showcasing the other 5 characters each with a focus episode where they stole the spotlight and solo'd the villain of the episode, and then they were shoved into the background after that.

Same dealio here.Season 1 showcased the other 5 hard, and really played them up, but as they've now been introduced and established, its almost certain they will NEVER get that level of spotlight again, because, to the staff, TWILIGHT is the mane character, and the others are support: As such, they're going to tailor EVERY season to HER growth and not the group's. (Season 3's plot? About her becoming an alicorn. Season 4's plot? About her gaining a castle and becoming a "True" princess. Season 5? She gained a student in starlight glimmer. Season 6? Her student grew to the point where she could save the day on her own, indirectly reflecting on twilight as a teacher-- note chrysalis's line about starlight being Twilight's pupil during the confrontation).

I would LOVE for the other 5 to each get a two parter or something similar where they save the day, but I'm a realist, and I realized During season 4 that that will NEVER HAPPEN.
