GeekySonic 1,150 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 I never bring it up. If so someone else does, I comment that I like it. If anyone inquires further, I continue. If they say they don't like the show/Bronies, I find a way to dismiss the topic. 1 Check out my voice-acting demo reels on Casting Call Club, if you'd like. GrimGrimoire 4,973 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 Put some figures on a coffee table in front of them and act out an episode with them until either they joined in, or got creeped out and left. Either way I win. 2 ~No profound statement needed~
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,987 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 I basically just talk with friends about it in this scenario. Doesn't matter if I am in public at all. Pretty simple really.
Envy 6,274 October 25, 2016 Share October 25, 2016 I likely wouldn't have a conversation about it. If no one is interested in it, there's nothing to talk about. Unless they start saying it's girly as an insult, then they've made it personal... In which case I probably wouldn't talk much about MLP, but more about how being "girly" isn't a bad thing. Everything needs more woodwind!
Wind Chaser 4,768 October 26, 2016 Share October 26, 2016 I've only brought MLP up to someone outside of the fandom once, and even then it was someone who was well-versed in geek culture, had other brony friends, and knew a thing or two about it already. Mostly I would avoid the topic, but I do have a playbook for mentioning it. For someone who doesn't know MLP, I'd talk about its nostalgic quality and how it reminds me of the kind of cartoons I grew up with in the late 90s and early 2000s. Also, if they're older, I'd talk about the guest stars; John de Lancie, Weird Al Yankovic, and Patton Oswalt. Making connections to the familiar is a great way to introduce a new idea to people.
They call me Loyalty 1,951 October 26, 2016 Share October 26, 2016 I'd likely bring it up. It helps me understand other forms of perception, through exposition and acceptance. There wouldn't be any exclamation. There's no fear for reafirmation, but the notion of vague curiosity. cmarston1 5,961 October 26, 2016 Share October 26, 2016 I don't bring it up in conversations very much.
Stone Cold Applejack 381 October 26, 2016 Share October 26, 2016 Simple. I don't. Maybe in private, one on one with a close friend. But never in public. TRULY YOURS, YOUR BIGGEST FAN. THIS IS STAN.
