I hope for an episode where Twilight and Celestia fight over the freedom of info

The idea of freedom of information. Celestia wants dangerous spells and scientific breakthroughs hidden and kept secret, revealed only to ponies that prove themselves ready, but Twilight thinks information should be free so more breakthroughs can come from it.

 

I want to see an episode dedicated to that fight.

I think not that that happens. Celestia is toooooooooooooooo much peaceful and she would say it's to silly to fight about the power which could turn equestria upside down. Twilight is also not super violent and she just could'n fight against her own ruler, teacher and princess.

I mean a more philosophical fight, not a physical one with lasers and thrown buildings.

So a sorta Civil War then. I honestly don't want any kind of conflict between Twilight and Celestia. Something about that would seem incredibly off and it would honestly bother. Could be the relationship she has with Celestia and how a fight between them would go against that entirely.

I just can't see Twilight arguing over something like that. She just strikes me as too logical and practical. I would imagine she would be with Celestia on the idea of keeping sensitive magic locked up and hidden away like that.

 

After all she has been a victim to its uses so she knows first hand how devastating it would be if every pony with an issue of any sort with anypony else got a hold of those types of things. But scientific breakthroughs and dangerous spells are two totally different things... I could see neither her or Celestia not being opposed to introducing new ideas and breakthroughs to the citizens of Equestria.

 

I could see them being opposed over some ideas, just not that particular one.

This isn't the type of episode I could seeing taking place in the show. The writers kind of hate Celestia, so this would be too big of a role for her to receive nowadays.

Too politicized. Not everyone agrees on a solution; so this would be a bad canidate (pun intended) for MLP.

 

I think they've reached far enough with the expressive promotion of indivisuality (though i haven't seen many people against it, probably because of alignment of fandom)

Politicized? Oh, you mean because Hillary sent assassins after Julian Assange? No, that'll only count as politicized if Trump sends assassins to protect him from her assassins "suiciding" him.
