What are you waiting for right now?

Waiting for the latest layer of glaze to dry on my painting so I can add some more details and then another coat of glaze. I hate waiting when I've got brushes waiting to splatter paint and no place to splatter it.

Shakeproof washers, spanner, 15mm socket, small transformer. The socket could take a week to get here, :unamused:  but I found I'd got another one I could use, just need the spanner and the washers. The small transformer could be November - December! :o

Good job it's not urgent.....

As for me:

I’m waiting for some new noise-cancelling earbuds to arrive.

Also waiting for Halloween.

And I’d kinda like to fast-forward to five or six years in the future. But sadly, I have to wait for that too.

I'm waiting for the JB Weld to cure on the main PCB of an old CRT TV that I'm repairing for a friend, after that I have to solder jumper wires across the connections that have broken by the cracks on that PCB, reassemble the set, then test it to see if it even works.

From what I was told, it was subject to falling off of the table that it was on, which resulted in some damage on the PCB as well as two of the four screw posts that hold the CRT onto the cabinet. I'm hoping there wasn't enough impact to mess up the CRT as I've seen some examples of CRTs that have been damaged from impact (what can happen is the mask inside the CRT can detach from the wires that hold it in place, resulting in messed up colors when powered on, if that happens, then the CRT needs to be replaced as it's impossible to fix that component).

In the meantime, I fixed the broken screw posts (using a mix of plastic welding glue, a 3D printing pen, and a soldering iron) and reinstalled the CRT into the cabinet.
