gaming Call of Duty vs. Battlefield

Seeing as how there's no game discussion area yet, I may as well post this here.I'm sure this will cause a lot of replies and debates, plenty good for this forum! These two franchises are the largest in the industry, and now they're going head to head against each other. So, here's the question:Call of Duty or Battlefield?EDIT: Let's try to keep the flaming to a minimum. We're (hopefully) all mature bronies and are capable of non-agressive debates.

you pretty summed up of all my hatre towards to BF3 vs MW3.

 

I think BF3 is better but in rush mode... it is CoD-esque since we "camp". :/

Recently, Dice has just released the beta for BF3. I can say it is a very unique game. BF3 has so many new maneuvers and mechanics to the game, it's not even funny. The graphics are splendid also. I've been playing the beta on my Xbox 360, it is very fun. Although, I'm not quite used to all the new things, I am kind of used to it. Because I have BF: BC2, I honestly don't really care for that game.

But, BF3 feels looks like a great game, I honestly don't know who will win in the war between MW3 and BF3.

 

As for MW3, I am a long time CoD fanboy. I've been playing CoD since CoD 4: Modern Warfare. Now, with CoD 4, it brought so many new things to the game. I'm not even going to say what was brought into the game because there's too much.

 

As for Black Ops, Treyarch is a cash cow! This game was made very poorly, I can tell you that. All they did was basically copy everything from MW2 and paste it into Black Ops. What a rip off. Then, they supposedly fixed all the MW2 flaws.

 

Okay, one thing, just because you remove all the annoying things in MW2, doesn't mean your game is great or good for that matter.

 

The only thing that I can say is good about Black Ops, is zombies. That is it, I don't think anything else is good. The multiplayer seems dull and unoriginal.

 

This is why Infinity Ward needs to stick to the CoD games, not Treyarch.

 

I can't wait for MW3 for numerous amount of reasons.

 

There will be so many new things to the game, it wont be a ripoff like Black ops was. >.<

 

One, Survival Mode, it is a lot like zombies but it looks to be even better. You get unlimited waves of soldiers for you to kill.

 

Here is a trailer that shows off Survival Mode.

 

It looks amazing if you ask me.

 

Now, for multiplayer their are several new game modes and other things that are being brought into the game.

All I can say is, is that MW3 looks like it will be a very good competitor to MW3.

 

Also, to all of you that think BF3 is better because of graphics, think again.

And no, I am not bashing on BF3. Both of the games looks great.

I like to see both sides of the games, I don't really hate the other, it's just that I prefer one over the other.

They each have their places where they shine; for example, Battlefield has a more realistic feel, including bullet drop, firing modes, and realistic recoil, also has better multiplayer IMO. Call of Duty has a more fast paced, arcade style feel, and a better campaign. Seeing as how I love airsofting, I want my game to be as realitic as possible, so Battlefield is my preference.

 

If you like Call of Duty, that's fine, I like it too, but if you bash on the game and never even played it, then I'm sorry for your ignorance.

 

And great argument on your side, 3DS.

Oh I love both games, I love BF3 when I feel like being a team player, and I love CoD when I go solo. I never play any team matches in CoD anymore just because no one plays as a team, but its more fun that way.

hmm it's hard... Call of duty have a great online and have great gameplay, battefield too....

Call of Duty is the kind of game that's easy to get into and have loads of stupid fun. Battlefield is more tactical and complex, being more of a teamwork oriented game. CoD isn't as deep as BF, but that's not exactly a bad thing when you consider how hard it can be to get into a BF game if you don't play as often. It's also easier to carry your team in CoD so you don't have to worry about bad players making the game unenjoyable for you. But, CoD can't really provide the satisfaction of having a coordinated assault turn a bad game in your favor that BF games can. They're both different games for different players. Although the pics Gummy posted were pretty accurate. xD

I haven't played any of the new battlefield games, but i didn't much care for any of the older ones. I've been with COD since Call of duty 3 so it's pretty clear that I would see COD as the better game. COD 3 Looks like it will be my second favorite game this year. Sorry but it's going to take a backseat to Skyrim.

Yeah it was a gift for Christmas or something, I don't really remember. It was playable, but what really made me love the Call of Duty series was COD 4 Modern Warfare. Easily the best one, I would have to say.

To me, CoD 4 had a feel to the game that MW 2 didn't; I haven't played it in a while, so I can't quite place my hoof on what exactly it was.

Trust me I played it. Got it at the midnight release, took a week off work and played the whole week straight. By week 2 I was 4th prestige and just done with the game. Guess its my fault for sperging too hard.

I played for a week straight, and since at my old apartment I always had about 6 -10 people there a night, I didnt have to play it 24/7. But we did have someone on the ps3 at all times almost. Was nuts but it really made me get tired of the CoD series. I became a BF fan after that.
