Are there any other fantasy worlds with similar character names to MLP FiM?

Not that I can think of, though I'm sure that there is a fantasy race in some universe that has a similar naming style.  However, I believe that if it were to be something like "Twilight Sparkle", it would be done similar to how Native Americans earn their names.

The Strawberry Shortcake universe has sort of similar character naming schemes,

 

 

 

Not too fond of the show as a whole though, It lacks depth...

Well, in Mercedes Lackey's books there are people who have similar names. I haven't read too many of her books, but these tribal people are in a notable role at least in the Owl Mage trilogy.

Then there's the Warrior Cats series, where most of the characters have nature themed names like Echosong and Thistlepaw.

If you're into comics, Wendy and Richard Pini's comic series Elfquest centers around the Wolfriders tribe that has names like Skywise, Clearbrook and Dewshine in the cast.

 

Those are what I can recall off the top of my head.

There are a few MLP names I can see easily easily work as Transformers names. Hell there are plenty that have been reused such as Fireflight(sometimes referred to as Firefly), Sea Spray, Beachcomber, Flash Sentry, and Rumble, to name a few

 

 

Also there are plenty of Transformers names I can see working well for ponies, and vice versa

It's been a very long time since I've read the books, so there might be other comparisons you can draw between the naming systems of the two. ^^

Yeah, I think Warriors does have a good name system. It would fit pretty well into Equestria. Though, they did have the whole rank-suffix thing. That's the only thing that wouldn't transfer over too well.
