Resident Evil 7 comes out in a few weeks time and honestly Im really excited. I haven't really played any of the older Resident Evil games (I've played 4,5 and 6) so I never got to experience the scarier aspect of the world. However, Im definitely grabbing this game the day it launches and playing through the entire thing in one long sitting in the pitch black.

Anyone else?

Played the demo for it and I really think Capcom might have something really special here. The atmosphere is spot on, it is so eerie and really makes you feel dread. It being in first person view surprisingly works really well, something I did not expect them to pull off and from what the demo showcased, the combat seems like it will focus heavily on avoidance rather than running into every possible fight, which is surprisingly like the old games a lot. the graphics and sound design seem wonderful too.

This is definitely the most excited I have ever been for a game in this franchise. They seem to be taking some notes from P.T. and Outlast, which I am entirely fine with especially if it has a great Resident Evil coat of paint.

I'm disappointed that they decided to throw out the co-op action gameplay. RE6 was one of the best co-op games I've ever played.

I may or may not bother with RE7. I just don't care enough.

Honestly? ...I'm personally not feeling too good about that one. :c

Being a long-time fan of the series ever since the original RE, I've experienced the drastic changes the main entries went through along the years. How it quite literally split the community in half and such. I, for one, loved the most recent games, like 5, 6, Revelations 1 and Revelations 2 (even though co-op play is kinda almost required to fully enjoy those). The whole "survival horror" aspect the series was initially acclaimed for kept being thrown in and out randomly, but that really didn't bother me too much. I've always enjoyed seeing game developers try new stuff with their franchises, and that's far from a bad thing. That being said though, I can't help but to feel a little uneasy whenever a new game is announced.

But who the hell am I to judge, right? RE7 will be, once again, drastically different from its predecessor, but if it's a good game, it's a good game! I guess I'll just wait a little bit before I can try it for myself and form much more concrete opinions. Nevertheless, I won't stop being a Resident Evil fan for any dumb reason like that~

Ah, the topic of Biohazard 7... AKA Resident Evil 7. (I refer to it as biohazard because that's how i was taught to say the game as.)

From what I've played of the game as of now, and the reviews that i have made and heard from friends, i bet it will turn out great. It's still set in the same universe, and there have been some files linked to the character Wesker, (Albert) However, they have said that it is likely that there are no cameos from other resident evil games. I am really looking forward to the end of this month, Gonna buy it day one. I might post my FULL game review on this site, actually. ( I won't spoil anything.) I really do feel like taking away the action and messed up third person camera angles will be a turn off for some people, but it's a step in the right direction for me. I always do like to get a new horror game, and this game has finally changed it's arcade roots and found a place that might work for the next few games, then i will like to have the arcade back.
