Scalebound was recently canceled for the Xbox One. If you don't know Scalebound was an upcoming exclusive game for the Xbox One. So, what are people's thoughts are Scalebound's cancellation?

It was also releasing on Windows 10 by the way.

I see it as a sad situation, yes, any game like this getting cancelled is a bad situation. However, I also think that the aftermath of this is a prime example of some things that are wrong in the gaming community. Sooooooooooo many people were screaming "AH, Xbox is dead! No reason to own an Xbox now! Microsoft, you suck! BLEH!" when we don't even know the full story. Does anyone seriously think that Microsoft would just simply outright cancel a game that they were FUNDING out of the blue without reason? I don't think so. So that is people jumping the gun already, and of course saying Xbox is dead when the game was also coming out on Windows 10 anyways, and on top of THAT, these same people seem to only focus on exclusives and no other reasoning in terms of owning a system. I am convinced these people never even had the slightest interest in the game, they just want a reason to hate a particular side.

It has been a sad situation, not only because a possibly good game had to be cancelled, but also because the gaming community as a whole is once again showing its true colors.

Literally the main reason I got a One, I mean now I have a ton of games and BC makes it worth owning, but it doesn't change that this was disappointing

I'm mainly worried for Platinum, this cancellation must've been a huge blow

As someone who owns an Xbox One, it doesn't necessarily strengthen my confidence in the Xbox brand. I don't really know who is to blame if any one at all for the cancellation of the game. I have read rumors that the Xbox One wasn't capable of running the game properly. If that's so, I do not think that was the sole reason it was cancelled. At the end of the day, video games are a business and I don't necessarily blame Microsoft for cancelling the game if Platinum Games couldn't fulfill their obligation. However, the thing is Microsoft is in dire need of new IPs. They are basically known for three IPs; Forza, Gears, and Halo. Microsoft having Scalebound would have added more variety to the Xbox One's library. Surely, they could have done something to keep the game alive.

Sorry to hear that. I think Platinum will be just fine. They have a game for the PS4 coming out in March, I think.
