Zecora's cutie mark

I don't think it has been explained, but does Zecora even have a cutie mark, and if so, what does it mean?

 

 

It seems like some design that resembles the sun, but is it even a cutie mark, or just the design? I am not sure if Zebras can get cutie marks (not impossible and probably likely), but I am not sure.

My headcanon is that it's some kind of tribal tattoo. Something given be a superior as a passage to adulthood

Probably not a cutie mark at all.  More likely a natural pattern that comes with all Zebras or maybe associated with a particular family.

Hmm... I don't know. It would be cool to think that this is a cutiemark, have any of you looked it up to see if it means anything in african culture? Most likely I think it's a tattoo, but I just don't know for sure.

We haven't had enough Zecora. And we probably won't get more. Maybe it will be explained in the comics.

my worldview is that it is uncertain.  
it could be a cutie mark, but might not be.

 

The bigger mystery with Zecora is why she doesn't have stripes.  her mane is black and white, but her body is grey with darker grey fang-shaped markings.

I guess I can see what  you mean. Aren't zebras actually black with white stripes or something? Even so it wouldn't fit for her as she is more gray. I love her unique design though.
