  1. 1. Excluding conventions, how often do you meetup with bronies in the real world?

Are you a club leader or attender?

Tell us about your experiences!

Some thoughts to get you started:

1) How many different clubs have you attended?
2) If you are currently attending, how long have you been at your most recent club?

3) Are you now, or have you ever held a leadership position?  If so, what did/do you do?

4) What are some things that have worked well?

5) What are some things that have gone poorly?

I want to use this space to be celebrate the good stuff about being in a club, to share the funny stuff, and to be honest about the tough stuff.

Here's a quick story about our event last night:

The activity was based around the party game "Curses".  Three of our clubs leaders created two complete decks of cards for the game that were pony themed, calling it "Poison Joke".  It was a lot of work.  Personally, I put in at least 6-8 hours in prep for this one-shot game.

There were some lovely moments including:

  • Player 1 starts speaking on his turn, asking player 4 a question
  • Player 2 must try to sell him an apple using his own name in the third person, and namedrop another pony
  • Player 3 must comment on both names that he hears, and then sign off "your faithful student, twilight sparkle"
  • once player 1's question is complete, he has to pretend to be a DJ scratching a record, and player 4 has to reply in the flutterguy voice.

The long chains of interaction had us howling!

Unfortunately, the large number of people playing (8), made the game really difficult to follow, and drag from the planned 30 minutes to an exhausting 60 minutes.

A good game, but probably much better for 4-5 players.

Well because of my current situation of keeping it a secret to myself I've never gotten a chance to go to eany meet ups. I really do hope I can in the future even if it's like 3-4 years from now. I was considering to chat to another brony at a gaming conversation about my theories about the show but no way was I going to do that with my parents waching me 24-7 while I was there. :)

is 3-4 years based on when you think you'll move out?

A club is something that would be hard to hide...
Heck, I'd have to lie or be deceptive to hide it from my family now, and I'm 32 and don't live with any of them.

It's just too big a part of my weekly life.

eeH-Hee! Don't know why its hilarious that the Never votes outweigh the rest. Though think I can take a shot as to who's vote was for "WHOO! ROCK ON!" (Greenhorse is BestHorse!)

Well, I'd like to get into the whole meeting up in real life shtick myself. Learning about friendship is what got me to look into this show & its pretty famous fandom. Though I wouldn't know really where to start. Doesn't help that I'm likely in one of the least populated states in America under Nevada & Alaska, but maybe that's a good thing, I get even shyer around large groups. I think more than five others kinda scares me a bit.

Beatings & Salivations Everybeing!   Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread  and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread!  Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew!
