movies/tv CHiPS 2017 movie, utterly heartbroked

TBD

Recommended Posts

So you may heard of the old Tv Series "Chips", about two officers being a goofballs while doing the job right (well not entirely...). What I can remember while being caught watching their shows just randomly It was kid-friendly and funny. Kinda remained me of the diamond brothers except with two cops. And rated TV-PG.

Now there is going to be reboot which I was happy about because here we have the "Three stooges" which turn out funny as the old ones and "Get smart" which also turn out okay as the old ones.

However, The CHiPs reboot is going to be RATED R.  For large amount of nudity and other adult stuff.  I can't believe this, not only have they turn one of the classic comedy shows which is kid-friendly into rated R, they decided to just add naked people and adult jokes because they think it would make it "more funny".

Many of you might not care, but I just find it really unnecessary to even turn this shows into adult entertainment and ruining the heart of the shows. As if many movies these days especially comedy that made into rated R are going downhill...looks to me, they are trying hard to make it good and funny as Deadpool movie. It's not happening.   We don't need adult's jokes  to make a movie funny, just like we don't need gore to make a movie scary.

what do you guys think about this?

It is kind of annoying that companies just add in crude humor to try to make it funnier.  There have been so many shows in the past that were really funny and clean but it seems like modern writers can't make stuff like that anymore.  Just overall it seems like the media industry is running out of ideas and just reusing stuff from past decades.

That is just plain stupid. Why would they turn an innocent kids tv show into an R, for goodness sake?

That's just wrong. Like seriously. What has this world come to? I would love to see the original, but no...this stupid world has to taint everything with it's filth and come up with some petty excuse. More funny my freaking tail. So much for comedies these days...it's the same dang thing: sex, drugs...and all the garbage...

R made sense for Deadpool; but not so for CHiPs.

I think deadpool is the only rated comedy that made sense.

That's what i was thinking, adding sick jokes constantly  just means they either can't come up with a joke or ran out of jokes' ideas. and they would end up ruin the original.   but even so, in the past  kids cartoon shows that have shown  adult  reference, it like people can't live without making sick jokes.

I have no idea..maybe that just the case. They have no freaking clue what to come up with so there you go, a rated R version of a kids show. what next Rated R sesame street?xp

they are killing comedy era. you hardly see any more kid-friendly comedy anymore. and those were still funny and the jokes isn't that lame.

Never watched the series before, but the hilarious part to this R rating is that it means that the jokes are possibly incredibly immature and has little thought put into it. A PG rated film would probably have been more creative in its execution. I hate films that are rated R because edgy. The Killing Joke is another good example of that.

It absolutely stinks that this is the best they can come up with for a CHiPs movie. It seems that the movie industry today is so narrow-minded, uninspired and downright talent-free that they can't come up with an original idea on their own. And to make things worse, they take an old franchise instead and give it to their little pool of writers (the ones who learned their trade writing on bathroom walls in grade school) and turn it into something that completely lacks the spirit of the original show. Dirty does not equate to funny. It may seem like that when you're in 6th grade, but please keep in mind that 6th graders aren't allowed in R-rated movies.

I will not see this abomination!  :unamused:

or bloody to make it a horror movie scary at that matter.  but even so, R comedy movie aren't really that funny if they keep dropping the same references in a different form of jokes. Now Deadpool on the other hand, is what i would say the funniest Rated R comedy ever made.

Didn't even watched it but Why would they do that? That's Terrible, I not seeing that Movie.

Not sure why but here the article for their reason..*cough* trying to beat the Deadpool movie.

Agree, I dont know what else they will take and ruin it by adding nudity and dirty jokes in every 5 secs.  they wanted to best beat the deadpool movie. But deadpool is deadpool. Chips is in a whole different level.  I guess the jokes will be on them once rotten tomato give them a low rating.
