Jeric 46,852 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 Yes. I'm not going win any lifting contests, but I'm slender and still in decent physical shape (medically speaking). I'm a voracious reader as well who is constantly enrolled in college forcing me to always write and study. If was going to use this for a blog but
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,596 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 Most likely she reads super fast, she seems like the definite pony to be able to do that, along with Moon Dancer. Honestly, this question seems a bit more for Moon Dancer before Twilight met her again. She seemed to be reading books non-stop, which Twilight doesn't seem to do. Once In A Blue Moon 895 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 Horses can stand around all day and do nothing but chew and still be in great shape. If we're comparing to real horses and ponies then it varies according to the sub-species. Most ponies have a tendency to balloon if they aren't exercised extremely regularly (and some even when they are - juggling greedy ponies between pastures see-sawing between 'too much grass' and 'too much mud' was a fixture of my teenage years.) And then there are some hunters that are turned out for months at a time, and then go galloping around without any (apparent) trouble after only a week or two of fitness training. 1 Whisper, The City of Darkness; Carto Sketch - The Dark Millennium Participating in this RP can be agonizing sometimes. We raised therabeads horses and large draft horses. Interesting to see that Ponies work a different way.
Once In A Blue Moon 895 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 (edited) We raised therabeads horses and large draft horses. Interesting to see that Ponies work a different way. In my experience at least, ponies are really greedy. It might be that most of the ones I met were (UK) natives or native-crosses (so Welsh Sections, Shetlands, Exmoors and the like) who in their natural conditions survive on barren hills / desolate moors / etc. so if you put them in well-maintained fields with plenty of grass then they will get rather fat in preparation for a harsh winter that isn't coming. Thoroughbreds from warmer climates probably burn a lot more energy without the inches of fur that most of our natives grow, so that might be why they don't have as many weight issues. And then there are carthorse-types - we had one (a Clydesdale-cross we think, but we don't know exactly) that was somewhere in between - he wasn't as greedy as the ponies, but he had a more solid build and thicker fur than the thoroughbreds, and he only put on weight if he wasn't exercised; it didn't really matter if he had plenty of grass. That's my theory anyway. Ponies need management and exercise, carthorses horses just need exercise and all thoroughbreds need is their own reflection to chase them around the field for a few hours*. *or maybe I've only met the neurotic ones. I'm more of a carthorse type myself - nothing like a half ton wall of horse to make cars give way. ThunderCrush 1,850 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 I think it's obvious that she stays in shape because whenever she isn't studying, she is running around solving friendship problems. That is a lot of exercise gained throughout the day. So she simply lives in active learning and motion of being fit.
