Diamond Tiara's redemption.

Can we just talk about how badly the writers have botched Diamond Tiara's redemption? She was barely seen at all last season, and she didn't even get any lines. How are we supposed to believe she's changed?

They just need to give her more meaningful screentime

The lack of screentime afterward is the problem, not the redemption itsefl.

While it was a bit rushed, it was one of the few reformations FIM has done that I actually like, and I am a bit disappointed that she hasn't really done anything after being reformed.

^Can't agree enough. So much lost potential for her interactions with the CMC in season 6. It's like they redeemed her just to effectively "kill her off" at this point -.-

We need to see Tiara and the CMC hanging out, and the former of which acting all "awkwardly" apologetic and so on. It would be GLORIOUS if pulled of correctly.

Also, get this bitch to sing again, Goddammit! >.<

Can we talk about how this is my second favorite moment of the show? Cause I like that bias much better. 

Joking aside, I want a follow-up as well, and for not I'll settle with the background shots of her looking happier. I won't call it botched unless the series ends without that follow-up. 

I mean we know she's changed. It's not like they would have a narrative or thematic benifit if they reversed course. It's acceptable to take it at face value, but yeah I want to see how her characterization has evolved too.

How exactly is it botched if they have not used her? I mean her "reformation" came off pretty damn well all things being what they are. Arguably her part in the series could be claimed as "done". She is not a main character nor of any actual importance in the grand scheme of things. She is just another character some fans like and gets dropped into the same bucket all of them do when it comes to wish lists.

So no, the writers did not botch anything. They wrote a story with her and wrapped up her part within it, and have just not gotten around to using her again. Maybe in the future, they will... but of course every Gilda, Octavia, Silver Spoon, Lyra, Babs, Moondancer, Limestone Pie, Zecora, Coco and Cheese Sandwich fan has been asking and wishing for the exact same thing for their individual favorite characters... so who knows if and when she will ever see any extended use outside of school house scenes?

As for how we are to believe it? It is not a living thing capable of deceiving us. She is reformed unless they write an episode saying otherwise. Pretty simple.

For the record I would much prefer Silver Spoon gets an episode over Diamond Tiara, if not at least the two of them together in some meaningful role.

To be fair it's better to have her like that than to have her be the generic bully she always was.
