Will we see a parody of Unicorn food trend in an episode?

Since the unicorn food trend has exploded irl, do you guys thin we'll see an episode around this, maybe with an "Alicorn food" trend that sweeps across Equestria, and turns everyone who eats it into alicorns (and also gives nod to all the conspiracy theorists who have been saying that al the mane 6 would become alicorns after Twilight's ascension). And maybe as the royal sisters try to stop the trend any everypony getting into it from turning into Alicorns,  it opens questions about true Alicorn lore. Could you guys see DHX doing an episode like this?

I don't think such an episode could work. Partly because once this episode would be aired, this trend will have been largely forgotten. But mostly because it just doesn't make any sense. Like, why would Celestia and Luna try to stop everyone from turning into alicorns?

It would be cute, but probably not a good episode. Episodes from any show that focus on specific RL trends tend to fall flat immediately.

I don't think the trend is popular enough to warrant being in the show.

They'd probly' pun the title with Discord's name somehow...since I can think of no other character in the show who's both powerful and crazy enough to do it.

I doubt it'd happen though, MLP doesn't exactly have a track record of following irl trends. The best we got was that one episode where they gave the background pones a good chunk  of development and screen time.

because ascension has to be earned, like Twilight did through her acts. Not to mention that a trend that turned the three races into alicorns wouldn't be a good thing, which is why the sisters could try to put a stop to it.

But why wouldn't it be a good thing? I mean, alicorns are able to do everything that the normal races can do, so I fail to see the problem.

Probably not since the show is not South Park and current affairs have no bearing on the show itself.

Also, I really hate the term(s) "conspiracy theory / theorists" when used in relation to a fictional universe. I mean, seriously?
