open Simple Love (A Romantic RP)

Erin took one and nibbled on it halfheartedly.

"I-I-I... I w-wanted t-to talk t-t-to you b-but c-couldn't g-g-get the courage..." he mumbled his voice trailing off. He took another small bite of bacon and sighed.

"I-I.... I um.... I-I i-it's hard t-t-to talk to-to you sometimes... I mean n-n-not anything you did! J-j-just me and, and s-stuff!" he said a terrified look on his face. He looked away and stared at the ground, his eyebrows all scrunched up. Idiot idiot idiot idiot say something NICE TO HER!!!

"Um... Y-Your h-hair looks n-nice..." he said nervously.

Rosemead giggled softly at his adorable stuttering and fluttered her wings with eagerness, "How sweet," she gave him a kiss upon his cheek in return, "You have been so nice to me, I feel like I'm not doing the same." After thinking for a moment, she sighed, "I don't think braiding your tail would be a good thank you gift, would it?"

"U-Uh I-I d-d-dunno.... um... *gulp* P-P-Please don't hate me for this!" he squeaked, leaned forward and kissed her. After a moment he pulled away and cowered.

"D-D-Did I-I actually j-j-just do that? P-P-Pl-Please tell me I d-d-didn't just d-do that..." he mumbled in a terrified voice.

The moment he touched her muzzle with his her mind went completely blank and her cheeks grew warm.

It was the first time a colt had ever kissed her; the mare had been described one, but now that she could finally feel one it was to be admitted she liked it. Quite a lot. Rosemead felt a small needle pierce her bubble when he pulled away.

 

"D-D-Did I-I actually j-j-just do that? P-P-Pl-Please tell me I d-d-didn't just d-do that..."

 

The flutter pony had no idea what to answer. Did he really do that? Who was she kidding, of course he did! Her expression of surprise turned into a smile, and in her eyes gleamed something new, something she couldn't really put a hoof on.

Storm's eyes shot open when he saw Erin kiss Rose.

Storm's heart instantly sank when he saw that.... He wanted to take it slow with Rose and see where his realtionship went with her, and eventually ask her out....But it seems he wasn't fast enough to kiss her....

Storm felt his eyes start to well up with tears. Even though he had a calm face on, a single tear rolled down his cheek before he turned away and burst out the door in sorrow, grabbing his satchel along the way.

 

As Storm burst out of the front door, he felt an urge to vomit in disgust at watching the friend, he thought he just obtained, kiss the one, he thought he had a chance with for love.

There's no such thing as simple love......He said to himself, tears, now starting to cascade down his cheeks......

Rosemead blushed a bit more than usual, still unable to say anything. Her heart was racing so fast and she could feel nothing but her wings flittering fast. "I.." Without thinking twice, her wings immediately took her zipping outdoors and took her to perch up on a tree branch sturdy enough to hold her weight, not far from Erin's lovely gardens. She took one deep breath and exhaled slowly. What just happened..?

"I uh... Um... Oh no..." Erin muttered as he saw Storm leave.

"I'm s-s-so sorry b-b-but please excuse me for one moment!" he told Rosemead desperately. The young stallion galloped outside as fast as he could and yelled, "PLEASE W-W-WAIT! I-I D-D-DIDN'T KNOW... PLEASE C-C-CAN WE TALK!?!" to Storm. Erin lowered his head in shame and said softly, "Whatever I do always hurts somepony..."

As Storm ran, he heard Erin call out to him....He didn't want to turn around....He just wanted to run from them.

Rosemead pinned her ears down and shook her head, trying to clear her mind as the morning breeze began to grow warmer.

 

At that moment she saw Storm running past the tree, tears streaming down his eyes. Where is... What happened?

 

She quickly swooped over and soon caught up to him. She gave one last dash and landed right in front of his way, "Hey, where are you going?" She wiped a tear from his eye and asked in a low concerned tone, "What's wrong?"

Storm stopped in his tracks as Rose blocked his way.....She tried to wipe away one of his tears, but he smacked her hoof away.

"Please get out of my way Rose..." Storm said calmly.

Storm walked past her, hanging his head in sadness, tears still rolling down his calm face...

Erin lay on the front porch his back shaking with sobs. You're terrible. You hurt so many ponies. Monster... Unloved Abomination... Bastard Son of a Drunkard His mind reeled with insults.

"Why... Why did I have to be normal and show how I felt...." he muttered. He sniffled and buried his muzzle into his hooves.

"Wait wait... what?"

 

She trotted over to Storm as he walked away, "What do you mean?" It wasn't necessary for him to answer that. She figured he saw Erin kiss her. "You cannot just kiss someone and call that 'love', you know."

 

She stopped and looked out to space, going into her hopeless romantic mode, "I don't know what love is yet, but I've imagined it so many times, and I'm sure a small spark isn't enough to call it with such a grand name as is Lady Love~" She got so into her thoughts that she trailed off and closed her eyes, creating the perfect image of love inside her head.

The mare's ears pinned backwards at this accusation. She looked down and felt guilty.

 

It was true, this; she did smile, and she did like it. But she had no idea Storm would have reacted this way. If she had known, she'd have pulled away the first second. Even though her heart yearned for affection, she also loved her friend, and she didn't want him to leave her side for something like that. But she also didn't want Erin to feel bad either.

 

As a last desperate gesture, she grabbed Storm's tail and tugged on it, holding him back rather weakly. Rosemead had no idea what to say, or how to explain herself. All she knew was that she wasn't ready to lose the first friend she made in Ponyville, not counting her roommate.

 

Oh how she wished a manticore would snatch her body away right this moment.

The pain in his heart was getting worse and all he could do was run from it....

Erin sighed and watched the two ponies. He obviously hadn't won the mare's heart yet.

But she wouldn't let go.

 

The flutter pony gave another weak tug to his tail and gazed at the alicorn in front of her with her bright orange eyes, "Oh please don't do this, Storm, I truly don't wish for you to go."

 

Is that ALL you can say?

 

She rubbed her eye with her foreleg and continued, "You're my best friend, and best friends don't desert each other." She cautiously trotted closer, aware of Storm's short temper, and tucked her muzzle under his chin, nuzzling the stallion's throat affectionately, "Please oh please don't go." She made sure she didn't slip in too much affection in case Erin was watching. She ad no intentions of starting another fight.
