A Chilling Retreat

Rose opened the door to their room to see it looked fancy. She tossed Cinder onto the floor and closed the door behind her. Then she started checking everywhere. Of course she paid more for it, but she didn't expect it to be this nice. She opened a small portal and pulled a suitcase out, She undid the lock on it and found what she was looking for, then she placed it under her pillow. She looked up to see Cinder backed into a corner, begging not to be hurt. She just sighed, grabbed a towel and went to find the pool, but remembered to lock the suitcase up.

Cinder winced as she was thrown onto the floor. She crawled to a corner and started begging. Once the mare was gone, she unsteadily got up and started unpacking the bag. She took her coat and scarf off, but left the boots since they matched her skin.

Gale noticed one of the ponies trying to get her attention, and decided that she might as well converse with them. The dragoness then approached Mint. "I think I saw you on the train. Did you need something?"

Maia eventually found Silver's room and figured it would be ok to at least see if he was in his room. The gryphon then gave the door a light knock. "Hey, it's me. I was wondering if you wanted to look around the resort."

Silvermoon's magic rushed into him as he got scared, making him feel light headed, he went to the door and opened it,

"Sure," he lifted a hoof to his head,

"Give me a minute though a lot of magic just rushed through me," he finished closing the door behind him as he stepped out,

"Lets go,"

Kyubi shrugged slightly. "The resort is isolated, so that is a possibility. Still, whoever is running this place would need a lot of influence to cover up anything that would happen here or to us." She muttered to herself. "Any other ideas?"

Mint gave a polite nod. "I remember seeing you as well. I was simply curious, never met a dragon in person before. And since we'll be having some pretty close quarters in this lodge, I was thinking of getting to know everyone here. Might as well make some friends while I'm somewhere I'd rather not be." She responded, keeping herself relaxed on her seat.

TU: Well to be honest when I think about it there is an entrance in this resort to the massive tunnel network under equestria. Also that tunnel network is actually my lab and coincidentally the room I got here is the one where the tunnel entrance is! So we could escape into my lab in the event of an emergency but still I really want to highly avoid going into my lab from here as I just want to get down to earth for a while during this trip. Plus all the entrances to my lab in equestria are very well hidden and you would have no way of seeing them there unless they are open!

Ok, that was just to weird. How would a entrance like that be incorporatd into a resort. If anything, they'd just cover it up. The bat pony then shrugged slightly. "Good to know." She said. The bat pony then entered her room and looked around. She was honestly impressed.

In actual fact the tunnel entrance Techno was thinking of was actually 5 kilometres away in the middle of nowhere but Techno thought it was in his room because his memory was playing tricks on him again...

 

TU: Well ad least it's a reason we can feel safe here! Anyways I gotta get myself set up in my room!

 

Techno then entered his room and opened up his suitcase on his bed. It was actually a universal energy laptop computer that then woke up from hibernation mode. It had it's inbuilt advanced AI companion running and she complimented Techno on how well he was doing with staying down to earth...

 

CMD: You're doing a really good job Techno at maintaining yourself down to earth! Seriously just keep it up and you'll have a fun time on this trip!

 

TU: Okay I guess I'm doing better than I expected then!

 

CMD: Exactly right on that one Techno!

Gale nodded slightly and sat on one of the couches. "Fair enough. My name's Gale, by the way."  She said. The dragoness assumed that the mare was here on vacation, along with most of the others she had seen on the trip.

Maia smiled lightly and nodded. "Ok. Anything in particular you want to do?" She asked, as she walked down the hall.

Rose found the pool and placed the knife under her towel next to her. She hopped into the hot tub and sighed with relief from the cold and the aches of work. She started dozing off in there from the warmth and feeling relax.

Cinder opened the door and looked around, then she quietly closed the door and started exploring.

"Nah just walking around and checking out the place will do," he shrugged,

"Plus while we walk we can get to know each other some more," he smiled.

After she had everything in its proper place, Kyubi walked out of her room and began to look around. Even if she was a bit wary of the staff, she was still curious as to what there was to do in the immediate area.

Mint smiled and gave her head a small nod. "My name's Mint Rose, or just Mint for short. Pleasure to meet you, Gale." As the mare's eyes scanned the dragon to take in her details, a soft hum escaped from her. "Say...have you heard anything about the rumors surrounding this place? They're...sort of why I came out here, and any information would be wonderful."

While scanning the common area of the lodge, Kyubi would notice a sign giving directions to various locations: the restaurant and bar tucked away in the corner, a rec room, heated indoor pool, a gift shop and a sauna just outside the rear exit as well as a note saying to ask the front desk about ski rentals.

Maia nodded slightly and a sly smirk spread across her beak. "Ok. You go first." She said. She was tempted to tease him a bit about his suggestion, but didn't go for it, at least not yet.

Gale's eyes widened slightly, but she didn't show any other outward reaction. "Not that I'm aware of? Anything I need to worry about?" She asked.

Mint shrugged her shoulders, taking a moment to formulate a story in her head. "Well, there are rumors that ponies have been going missing in this area for some time. You see, I'm kind of a...supernatural hunter of sorts. Mysteries like these intrigue me." She stated in a calm tone of voice, silently hoping in her mind that she sounded believable while discreetly using a hoof to slide her suitcase with her guard armor inside further under her seat. She didn't want to cause a panic by simply announcing that she was a guard investigating actual disappearances. "Most places just seem to be duds, so I'm hoping I can find something here."

Kyubi noticed the sign and was able to read it via braille. The bat pony then thought for a moment now that she had this information. "I guess I could go for a break in the sauna." She said, before heading for the specified room. It didn't take long for her to find the entrance and she made herself relatively comfortable.

CMD: Also Techno I'm always recording everything that's going on in the area of this resort just in case of the event of an unlikely emergency. Anyways I recommend that you don't view the event and conversation logs as that way you'll be able to maintain your desired down to earth position! Anyways why don't you go out on a walk through the resort?

 

TU: That's actually a good idea! Maybe I'll go and talk with Kyubi if I find her!

 

Techno then left his room and went to the sauna where Kyubi was. He then walked up to Kyubi and stopped next to her for his mane to once again wrap itself around her...

 

TU: And my mane really likes you again! Anyways have you seen anything strange going on in this resort yet?

Gale thought for a moment about everything she had seen. Sure, there had been a few weird things going on with the staff, but she didn't think there was anything more to it. "The lodge is relatively isolated, so it makes sense that some weird rumors might sprout up. Does anything specific cause the disapperaces?" There were already a few ideas going through her mind, from the brainwashing of visitors to become staff, or some random monster.

Kyubi was a bit surprised when she felt Techno's mane wrap around her, and a light blush formed on her cheeks. She then glanced at the pony next to her, before shaking her head. "Nothing new, yet." She said. "Maybe there's nothing here after all."

TU: Well to be honest maybe I should show you my laptop computer sometime! The metal suitcase I had was actually the laptop and it's got it's own AI companion! Anyways there's probably something unknown going on behind our backs in this resort based off the strange behaviour of the staff.

Cinder walked into the kitchen and looked in the cupboard to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. She was relieved and a little disappointed that she didn't find anything, then she headed to the lounge to see if she could find something

"Its just basic summoning magic, but it looks different based on my personality and what I favor. For instance, I love the night and use mainly night magic, so its form is a 3D constellation, but each item is filled with part of my personality, if I let out too much it weakens me physically and if it all comes back into me I can lose consciousness, most ponies have summoning magic but it is a rare type, some, like myself, are born with the talent of night magic making it accessible, others it takes years to learn," he explained, lifting a hoof and summoning another rabbit which hopped around him and then Maia, leaving a trail behind it before landing on his hoof,

"Sometimes I don't even summon them they just appear when I need 'em, but it only happens with one creature, but he has a mind of his own and we grew up together for say, but don't expect to see him anytime soon," Silver finished,

"So what led you to do music," he asked turning a corner, the rabbit on his shoulder now.
