Because from this end, it was clearly back-and-forth until Daybreaker managed to land a lucky shot. Expand Apparently not. Daybreaker at the start had NMM on the ropes until she put her attention on Starlight, then when they flew at each other to clash Celestia popped between them, NMM went flying off the screen where as Daybreaker went a few feet back. Later on they only collided small blasts and how was the final shot lucky? NMM fired a large purple and black laser and Daybreaker countered with a fire blast which didn't even struggle to overpower NMMs attack, and at that point she basically one. It was pretty clear DB was on another level.

Expand Overthinking the biggest indicator of a fight? When there is a beam struggle and the beams don't struggle at all... well yeah The comics imply Celestia is more powerful or gifted than base Luna, so if NMM is slightly above Celestia, then DayBreaker should be above NMM. Castle Bleck 19,386 July 31, 2017 #30 Share July 31, 2017 (edited) @Ryanmahaffe You clearly missed the parts where NMM likewise repelled Daybreaker, matched her in multiple beam struggles (and the one that blindsided NMM visibly had different blasts than the norm), and ultimately got back up for another beam struggle (which likewise looked equal) before Celestia finally cut everything off. I believe I'm done here. Edited July 31, 2017 by A.V. By @Emerald Heart.↑

Expand NMM never actually landed a hit on Daybreaker until she was distracted, Nightmare Moon was hit multiple times, It was a beam struggle, it's not complicated, you can wank NMM to Daybreaker level if you want I guess, but it was apparent that she had the upper hand throughout the entire fight I believe I'm done here. Expand I don't recall one being obviously more powerful, but it makes sense that Starlight would fear that the one who has yet to actually appear in Equestria would be even worse. Good thing Daybreaker is just a dream.
Singe 2,111 July 31, 2017 #33 Share July 31, 2017 Make a villain called "Night Mare" that Luna can battle. Fear oriented like a mix of Scarecrow and Freddy Kruger, it would be easy to have this villain trap ponies in nightmares while draining away their life force. Voiced by Robert Englund. Daybreaker was shown to be more powerful than NMM throughout the fight. This is kinda off topic now though yas I want a darker villain than Tirek. Of course Daybreaker's more powerful than Nightmare Moon. She has the power of the sun. B. So far the closest I can come up with is a Pied Piper-type villain who kidnaps all the foals in Ponyville and forces them to serve him. (Granted, he'll make a big mistake kidnapping the CMC.)
