Speechless just nodded and adjusted the bag's straps a little bit before putting the notebook in. When Speechless passed the kitchen, he made what sounded like a random sound, and his father replied "Aright, just be careful.". Speechless replied to his father with sound of agreement, before proceeding to the door and opening it, then gesturing Maple to go first.

Maple smiled that he held the door for her, "Thank you." She said even though it was something small "SHe managed to get down the stairs by herself but she didn't know if that feeling was gonna run out she assumed it would so she wouldn't seem worried or sad. "You wanna show me around?" She asked

Speechless took out the notebook, "I would like to, but I don't know that much myself." "I only know basics like where to buy things, and one small park close by" He proceeded to open the main entrance door of the building, again gesturing Maple to go first.

Maple shook her head "You first this time. You've let me go first every other time so you go first this time. Maple opened the door and held it open for speechless this time. A big smile across her face showing her fangs. "Please I do insist."

Speechless laughed a little as he walked past Maple, if he would have been able to speak, he would have said something along the lines, 'Well, if you insist', but he couldn't , and he didn't think it was necessary to say, so he didn't write it either. When outside, he stopped to wait Maple.

Maple walked out after him "Say, Rarity has a store somewhere in Manehatten doesn't she? Maybe she's there and we could pay her a visit. I'm sure she and Spike would love to see me again." Maple laughed "I wonder if Spike's ever going to actually try to 'seal the deal' with Rarity. He tries to hide his feelings but I see right through him." She laughed a bit more amused by the facts she had just stated that where probably new to Speechless.

Speechless laughed a bit to Maple's points about Spike, it was true he didn't know it, because all he knew about the 6 elements and spike, were the things like their heroic deeds and their jobs, things you would find from a book. He then nodded to Maple's suggestion and wrote "If she is there and she's aright with visitors at night, sure." Though Speechless was little bit excited about the possibility of meeting yet another of the ponies who he saw as his heroes when he was colt, he wasn't as exited as he had been with Fluttershy.

"She;s fine with me visiting the only real problem is if she is there." Maple led speechless a ways and walked up to the building she knew was Rarity's shop. and knocked on the door. and she head a voice on the other side of the door

"Who could be here this late? Can't they see I'm busy working on..." Rarity had opened the door and looked at the bat pony standing in front of her "Maple! What a pleasant surprise! What brings you all the way out here to manehatten?" Rarity looked as if she was staying up late. Dressed in a comfortable nightgown and she had her hair up in a ponytail. "Goodness if I would have known you where coming I would have dressed more appropriately."

Maple waved a hoof "It's alright. I decided to see if you were here because I have a friend that would love to meet you." Maple moved out of the way. "This is Speechless Night,"

Speechless followed Maple, generally looking around so he would know where they were. When they arrived, Speechless was surprised both because Rarity was there, and because she was still up, but he also figured that making clothes was a job that didn't really care about the clock. When Maple introduce Speechless, he walked few steps closer and did his usual greeting gesture, of course with added politeness.

"Hello there Speechless..." She waited on him to say something as he stepped closer but he didn't. "I guess you live up to your namesake huh?"

Maple looked at rarity "Yes. He carries a not book in that bag there and 'talks with it.' "

Rarity looked behind her at the order she was making her eyes quickly scanned Maple and her eyes brightened "Maple, could you and Speechless come inside for a second I need help with this dress and it's supposed to be the same size as you amazingly. If you don't mind of course." She said stepping out of the way of the door for them

Maple thought about her chest situation but assumed it would be fine. "Sure. Speechless you first. She insisted."

Speechless smiled little awkwardly when his lack of speaking came up, he was aright with it himself, but he was always afraid how other ponies would react to it, since he had had both good and bad experiences with it. He was going to gesture Maple to go first just when she asked him to go first, so he stopped himself and with a thankful nod he walked past Maple inside.

After Maple walked in and shut the door rarity led her to the place she was working "Just stand right there for a minute. And with Speechless here he can explain what he thinks too." Rarity started stitching a few things look from Maple back to the dress she was making. She finished it and levitated it off the mannequin "Alright let's see if it fits. Speechless could you step away for a moment" She said as she started putting it on Maple carefully as to not damage anything

Speechless did as he was asked to, he didn't want to be in a way. He observed the Rarity doing her thing, trying to form an opinion about the dress, though it was little harder than one would expect, because not only did Speechless know absolutely nothing about fashion, but he also wasn't good with giving his opinion about how something looked, because he didn't like to criticize, nor praise.

Rarity eventually finished. "Alright. Speechless could you write your thoughts?" Once speechless saw it the dress was breathtaking, as all of Rarity's works where. It was a black gown with red highlights and stitching. Maple looked amazing in it since the black was making her yellow coat brighter and the Red stitching went well with her eyes.

Maple herself was blushing "I probably look stupid don't I?"

Though Speechless tried to hide it, it was obvious that he did like what he was seeing, in every aspect, and when he took out his notebook, it took a while before he could come up with the words he felt like writing, because funnily enough, Speechless was speechless. "It looks good, amazing even." "And no, you don't look stupid"

Rarity examined her work and read something. "Hmm... I think I see a few..." She looked again at the order "Oh... I used the wrong color... It was supposed to actually rubies not the color... That means... I'll have to start all over..." She sighed "Well That's how things are sometimes..."

Maple started to take the gown off "You'll get it done. I'm sure of it." Once it was off she tried to hand it to rarity 

Rarity shook her head "Keep it. It looked good on you anyways... It's jsut scrap cloth if I was to reuse it."

"Oh... Well thanks. I'll be sure to use it at some point." Maple said setting the folded dress across her back

Speechless didn't get his eyes off until Maple had taken the gown off, and after realizing it, though he managed to hide it, he did feel little embarrassed about it. He grabbed the pen and was going to write something but stopped, he was going to tell Maple that she looked beautiful in the gown, but didn't, because he didn't know how she would react. He only then realized it wasn't the gown he found amazing, he wasn't sure how to feel about it.

Maple noticed the motion of him taking out his pen and was confused why he didn't write anything "Everything alright?" Maple asked with general concern. "It seemed you wanted to write something there... Nevermind you're probably fine... Anyways I've never owned a "Nice" Article of clothing before. So now I do I guess." She added with a laugh

Rarity levitated a small chest over to her "Oh... I'm out of Rubys... I'll have to get some more tomorrow." Rarity yawned. "You two have a good rest of the night." She said walking into another room probably to go to sleep

Speechless nodded to confirm that he indeed was fine, and gave a short laugh as a response to Maple's laugh. When Rarity walked away, Speechless waved to her, and when she was out of sight, Speechless wrote to Maple "So, you want to continue walking or do you want to go back?"

"I feel like I could walk a bit more." Maple said, "Might even help with the process of my healing." She thought about where they could go next. "You know anything interesting to do around here? If you've got no Idea we could always walk in the park usually those are relaxing."

Speechless nodded and wrote "Like I told, I don't really know anything here." "But we can go to the park, It's nothing special but it's nice place" He smiled going to the door and gesturing Maple to go first this time again.

Maple chuckled "Alright I'll go first this time." She said walking out the door She turned and waited on speechless to walk out too. "How's the view of the sky from there? I don't know if you've ever just looked at the stars but sometimes it's rather calming.

Speechless thought for a moment, before writing with a smile "There is few trees, but it is pretty open, there shouldn't be any problem seeing the sky." He had stargazed few times, but because the forest-roof of the Everfree was so thick, it was rare, he usually rather flew around, enjoying the views. He took the lead, leading the way towards the park.

"Alright cool." Maple said as she glanced up at the sky where she was. "It's amazing, isn't it. Luna puts all these stars up every night... Sad she doesn't get more credit for it. She always makes it look beautiful." She snapped out of it after a few seconds and smiled to Speechless running to catch up to him.

Speechless heard what Maple said, and from the little distance he had walked from her, made an agreeing sound loud enough for Maple to hear. He too liked the night sky, and it made him little sad that many ponies, including bat-ponies, didn't really appreciate its beauty. He slowed down so it was easier for Maple to catch up.
