He was cut off as he hit the ground. The earth pony rubbed his injured arm a bit in pain as he looked up at the other two quite fearfully. A sudden bout of realization came over his face, turning it white in terror at what he concluded in his mind. 

"Y- your the cultists!" He looked around frantically for anything, but of course there was nothing but luggage. "What are you going to do to me!?"

"It's quite simple really," Elias said as he picked up his suspect and chucked him into the middle of the second circle. "et solis lunaeque præsidium viros et infernum malis mundi." He chanted quickly as the second circle started to glow a faint blue. "That's a protection circle, which keeps lots of nasty things from reaching you. For example, omnia tenebris inferni exercituum, vocabit Aizulkud devorantem facere iubente." He shouted and the largest circle began to brightly glow a deep orange. A portal opened up all around the protection circle. Massive dark green oily tentacles started protruding from the portal. They were surrounding a massive snapping octopus beak just underneath the protection circle holding the terrified earth pony. "This chap here is called Aizulkud, otherwise known as the devourer of souls. He's much too big to fit through this portal but he doesn't have to. Here's the deal pal, I know you summoned that demon so there's no point in lying to me. You're going to tell me her true name or Mr. Aizulkud is about to have a snack."

The pony recoiled back in terror, using his good arm to shield himself from the creature while scooting as far away from it as he could. He was clearly terrified, Elias' tactic apparently a success in that regard. 

"Equestria will prevail against you monsters!!" He shouted, voice shaky. "Y- you might kill me, but I promise you, your fate will be far worse than mine!" 

He gulped, still trying to avoid looking at the creature, or any of them. In fact, he was trying to hide his feelings on the situation, trying his best to maintain a stoic appearance in the face of certain doom. Though, actually achieving that was something else altogether. 

"I- I have powerful friends!" He added. "They'll make sure you monsters suffer! P- please... I don't know what yo want from me..."

"I don't know what your talking about..." He started to sob a little, gulping. "I didn't summon any demon... please, you have to believe me..." 

The pony was shaking uncontrollably. He still refused to look anyone in the eyes, covering his face with his good leg in order to avoid it. If the circle was any bigger, he would have been sideways on the ground cowering in a small ball. 

"Oh... how cute... you're still trying to find out my name?" The doe giggled behind the next door in the luggage car, which like all the others they encountered, was locked as well. "Well, figure it out fast... I'm not done here yet..."

She was taunting them. The doe clearly considered herself superior. 

"When you're all done in here playing around with my servants, why don't you come join me in first class hmm?" She added, before stifling a laugh and vanishing behind the window in the door once again. 

The pony looked over at the door, ears still folded back, then back at Elias in utter confusion.

Elias gulped, "you really didn't summon her did you?" The earth pony frantically nodded. "That cheeky b***h." The cat muttered, remembering the mare who had 'helped' him earlier. He closed the portal and released the stallion with a snap of his fingers, "Can't say you'd accept my apology, but I can be a right bastard sometimes." Elias said to the terrified pony. That was as close to an actual apology anyone had gotten from the cat in years.

StarSnow cut off the spell she had ready, and breathed a sigh of relief. She then turned and frowned at Elias. "There was a much easier way to do that, even if he was guilty." She shook her head slowly.

'Eh...guess Mom was right.

Her eyes narrowed, and she threw the thought away.

"I've always been a fan of theatrics." Elias said. "I had a lead that seemed good at the time, I acted on it and it turned out to be false." He sighed "before you start this was no ones fault but my own. I'll get this sorted. Hate when I've been played."

A giant rat tumbled out of the cabinet in question, stumbling to its grubby little paws as it looked up at Techno with beady red little eyes. It was the very same creature that had accompanied the doe last night, before everything that had happened. Though, the doe herself was still nowhere to be seen. The little beast looked afraid, but ready strike if backed into a corner, which wasn't hard to do in such confined spaces. 

The little monster took a few steps back, hissing threateningly at Techno as the hair on its bottom stood on end, tail curling up behind it. Its teeth, while not carnivorous, looked just as dangerous as any predator.

Techno then slowly turned his head to the rat with a smile and his eyes were still glowing red brightly...

 

TU: Ahh I bet you know exactly where your owner the doe is! You better lead me to her otherwise I may have to end your life here!

 

Techno then heard the doe and quickly locked eye contact with her to then come up to the luggage car door...

 

TU: Now I believe it's about time you die! Your not the real deer I knew from my lab. You killed her to just take form of her body!!!

The stallion crawled back against some of the crates containing the luggage, still in obvious fear. He continued to cover his eyes to avoid letting either of them see how afraid he really was. Still, he tried to compose himself, trying to fake his stoicness once again not at all very well. 

Quickly he snatched the notebook away from Star (presuming she still had it) and opened it up while pulling out a pen attached to the binding. 

With a shaky hoof he began to write in it, verbalizing it at the same instance. "F-feline exhibits clear and strong signs of antisocial personality disorder... presents as grade three warlock, utilizing cleary illegal summoning practices..."

Meanwhile, at the other end of the car after Techno blew past Elias and Star, the doe managed to give Techno a delightful little wave and blew him a kiss before vanishing. On the opposite end of the train the rat used Techno's distraction to find another hiding spot. 

At this point, the mare who had given Elias the tip was conspicuously absent...

As she walked back, she winced. She gently laid a hoof on her shoulder, but quickly pulled it away when it started hurting more. She frowned, thinking of what Luna had asked before she left.

Ozzie snuck up on Techno from behind, smacking him on the back of the head when he was shouting and searching about for the Doe. She was still nowhere to be found, Techno wasn't making any progress finding her. At least not where they were in the luggage area. 

"Calm down!" Ozzie snapped, the old pony giving Techno a stern look. "Do you really think she's going to expose herself when there's a mad pony rambling on in here!? She likes to taunt us... that much is clear... so play her little game until she gets too close..."

The grey earther, still missing his arm, watched as Star stepped away and Elias moved off to contemplate. Once again he couldn't help but notice something... off about her. After the initial impact of the situation began to fade, he tucked his notebook away and limped up behind her. 

"Uhm, excuse me, you don't at all look fine. Were you perhaps injured in one of the previous exchanges? Please, you can tell me... I'm still of sound mind, my adrenaline coupled with various medicinal treatments has yet to cloud my judgement. I am a physician after all, maybe I could examine your injury?" He said, after stepping behind Star, assuming he got her attention.

StarSnow straightened, tensing slightly. "...It's nothing I didn't expect.I'll...be fine." She fell silent, thinking.

Elias paced around in a corner of the luggage car, his paws were up behind his head and frustration was evident. 'Only took one pretty face to turn me into a bloody amateur!' he yelled at himself mentally. 'Wait...' he stopped, and began to run his paws over the front of his overcoat. "Got you." Elias muttered, gently pinching a single strand of the mare's hair from his coat front with two fingers. He strode off to the kitchen car to whip up a tracking spell.

It then gave Techno an idea. He then became invisible while still having his body visible as a fake magical hologram. His body was walking around the luggage car while he went towards the other end of the train...

He held up his arm missing half of its length for emphasis. "That... doesn't exactly make it any better." He joked, perhaps falling a little flat in the humor department, the stallion never really one for jokes.

Ozzie gave a start at Techno's technique, before realizing what he as doing. He examined the copy with a scrutinizing eye for a few moment, before poking it rather aggressively. 

"Not exactly life like..." The pony grumbled. "You really think she's going to fall for that?"

He continued to poke and prod the dummy, until it started to move forward on its own. Before he could speak again, Techno began moving in the same direction as Elias.

As Elias and Techno made their way through the dining car, towards the next passenger section and ultimately the kitchen, they were greeted by a most peculiar site. All the blood that had been splattered on the walls and ceiling in the second passenger car right before the kitchen, had coalesced into a giant mound in the center of the car. It began to bubble, slowly expanding into a hill of crimson liquid, defying physics. 

Gradually, something began to rise from the liquid. A giant centipede, something made from, or at least to look like, an unholy conglomeration of muscle, bone, and flesh. The beast was easily big enough to swallow numerous ponies, if it's mouth was big enough. The mouth looked small, but it's fangs and pincers looked more than big and menacing enough to tear other creatures apart with ease. Add to that the vicious hundreds of legs undulating on its underside, and it was surely a terrible foe being born.

TU: Ohh Ozzie the dummy also has it's own movement intelligence to!

 

The Dummy then started to randomly walk around realistically like if it was searching around for something. When Techno saw the centipede the red glowing in his eyes became extremely bright and his magic was now charging up for a number of extremely powerful attacks plus his cape was flowing with the power of his magic behind him...

"Oh bollocks" Elias sighed. Springing into action, he darted passed the creature as it was forming and made it to his sachel. He swung the strap over his shoulder and rummaging through it again.

StarSnow opened her mouth as if to say something, but hesitated. She looked away, and at that moment noticed Techno and Elias. "....Excuse me." She started towards the two, but stopped when she saw the creature. She sighed, and unsheathed her blade. "Of course it's not over."

The creature grew more and more, rising from the blood as if some kind of portal. Its legs and pincers clicked together as it turned its head between Star and Techno, then turned around to get a good look of Elias. It's head tilted, then took a good look of its surroundings before rearing back, as if coiling up like a snake to strike. 

Instead of striking one of the three, the creature suddenly turned to one of the windows and jumped forward. Despite its large body, the burst through the window, taking the frame and part of the side of the train with it as it corkscrewed outside of the car onto the top of the cars. Despite the rushing wind as the train blasted through the blinding fog and mist, the creatures hundred legs could be heard clinking across the roof towards the rear of the train. 

The mare smacked her forehead in dismay as she watched from behind the window of the next door. She was clearly frustrated about that sudden turn of events. She looked up in surprise, being reminded of the group still unscathed. The unicorn turned and ran deeper into the first class car. In her haste, she had left the car door unlocked. 

None of the other passengers had noticed what creature was now loose on the train, only hearing the apparent 'explosion'. Ozzie was the first to rush through the carts to slide to a stop between Techno and Star, facing Elias. 

"What the buck was that!?" He demanded, staring at the gaping hole in the side of the train car.

"There are bigger fish to fry though, I need to find the summoner responsible for this first."

Star snow walked toward the hole. "Then I'll help Techno." Still keeping her blade out, she jumped through the hole. She quickly summoned winds to push her onto the roof.

I am going to regret this later.
