@PathfinderCS

It's hard to say, I don't know if I'd dance when nobody else is, but I don't think I could watch Pinkie Pie dance alone! :pinkie:
In that situation I'd join Pinkie.

@Lucid_Nightlight

Probably pay the amount it costs to buy one.

Believe it or not it was Equestrian History because our instructor had a very stentorian but weirdly smooth voice that hushed the class and made learning an otherwise boring subject (I thought at the time anyway, now it's just as fascinating as anything else,) feel cozy. I guess in terms of material it was only okay, but that was the best class I've ever been in.

They must save the good orators for the 'boring' classes.

Left to her own devices Twilight is either a stream of conscience on hooves, or a silent study. I personally find it adorable, yes, but that kind of personality doesn't attract as many people as it seems it would offhoof. To other ponies she might seem like an annoying know-it-all or otherwise boring, but one; I admire the time she's been able to put into her knowledge and she seems genuinely interested in literally everything which is refreshing, and two; she is well aware that her interests are her own. While she can get carried away when she gets excited about something, (which is also adorable,) she has developed a goodly amount of control over that kind of excitement because it almost always puts other ponies off. Personally Twilight was a role model to me before she left Canterlot and has become an even bigger one now.

I think that answered your question...

Definitely answered it. :proud:

Simple question this time:

IS IT TRUE?!???!?!??!!?

I asked this question in another thread and feel it deserves a revisit.

If animals could talk, which in your opinion would be the rudest to listen to? Which one do you think would make a fantastic conversationalist?

What part of any kid’s movie completely scarred you if any? What animated film made you truly stop and think about something deeply if any?

~No profound statement needed~

@GrimGrimoire

1) I get the feeling cats would be the rudest, simply because their brains are always in alpha mode. They think they're better than you with their lazy, snide and haughty attitudes, but ponies love a lazy cat. Until it paws your drink off of the countertop.

2) I actually think seagulls or crows might make for really good conversationalists just because they'd have so much to share of where they might have been across coastlines and in pony cities. They get a unique view of our lives, and I am not a pegasus so I'm pretty much genetically predisposed to wanting to know what it's like to fly.

3) (I don't think I can answer this for Rosie, but for myself, it was probably Fantasia's dinosaur scenes. When I was very little, that was pretty scary.)

4) (Once again, film in FiM being hard to answer for- I think the film that fits best would have been 101 Dalmations. It would have been a long time ago, but I remember having seen that over and over again because it had some profound effect on me.)

What, exactly, can you not deny?

It.

1) Three? Unless their eyes are a fourth dimension.

2) Trottingham and Canterlot. It's been said so many times, Duality. Keep up!

3) I know you would make an argument for swagalicious, but words like prestidigitation, sibylline and twilight really lull me.

@Sparklefan1234

That's always so hard to answer! I used to say that it was Look Before you Sleep, but I've made so many favorites now I don't know which to choose...

Perfect Pear tugged at my feelings really hard. That's certainly up there. Winter Wrap Up is a gigantic favorite as well. I would have to say it's a tie between those three.

And whither?

Oh, no, no no no noooooo.

I'm a literary boy at heart; 'prestidigitation' is a personal favourite, 'sibylline' I didn't even know the definition of but love it now that I do, and 'twilight' is obviously better off as 'crepuscule'. How dareth thee defame mine ears with a two-syllable utterance.

Have you heard of the word 'absquatulate', pray tell?

Which would you rather be able to pwn everyone else on both Earth and Equestria at, air guitar solos or ninja boops?

Who would you rather be able to pwn epically in a live-TV fight, Dwayne Johnson or Jacky Chan?

What is the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space, the beginning of every end and the end of every place?

What part of your body vanishes every time you stand up?

Go wash that filthy mouth out with soap! I love my twilight.

1) Ninja boops sound a lot less tedious and annoying, let's go with that.

2) Probably Dwayne Johnson so I can see how big of a man he is in person.

3) Gasp, a riddle? Is it the letter e?

4) Ponies don't have laps, but I hear other species of animal have them.

I've seen ponies sitting upright before; do they still not call them laps even under circumstances of L-shaped posture?

Two mothers and two daughters share out $21 in whole dollar notes equally among themselves. How is this possible?

What gets harder to catch the longer you run?

I am not alive, but I grow. I have no mouth, but water kills me. What am I?

Ponies found in this position must be incredibly flexible. They've earned their lap.

1) I think the only way that's possible if multiple roles overlap and there's actually only three people with $7 each.

2) Is it your breath?

3) Are you fire?

4) Pokes are everyone's favorite way of getting my attention. :o

How many dictionaries/thesauri/encyclopedias do you have?

Do you own any plushies?

@Sunset Rose Did you draw your avatar yourself?

Evidently I'm not that good. By my count, I'm only right the first time about half the time.:P

18 minutes ago, Duality said:

Probably nowhere near as high as anyone thinks it is. Knowledge isn't tantamount to wisdom.

18 minutes ago, Duality said:

(I'll answer this for myself- I actually own three dictionaries and one thesaurus. It's just one dictionary is a Spanish-to-English dictionary, and the other's in Portuguese. Given that the internet isn't a thing in Equestria, I'd imagine Rosie actually has several for convenience.)

I have a doll of Princess Twilight Sparkle that I had made after she became an alicorn...

I cannot draw nearly that well, sadly. That picture was done by a friend of mine. The funny thing is that I didn't even know she'd done it until maybe three months after she posted it somewhere.

"I'm only right the first time about half the time"?

So modest, Sunflower.

That's better than many and better than most.

what would she say if she found out?

How late do you go to bed?

How early/late do you wake up?

What's the most interesting clock you've ever seen?

What's the weirdest relative you have (however distantly related)?

I'll take that as a sincere compliment from you, thank you! ^ ^

Oh god... probably just die where I stood. That has to be the most awkward and embarrassing thing you could imagine to find in someone else's home.

4 minutes ago, Duality said:

I actually try to be in bed relatively early. I'd say I'm asleep before 10pm. I like the night time air and serene quietude, but it always feels childish to stay up really late when I could just get up earlier.

6 minutes ago, Duality said:

I like my mornings very much. I get up around 5 or so on most days. My biological clock is well-greased, I suppose.

8 minutes ago, Duality said:

Unfortunately the only relatives left in my family are my parents. Both sets of my grandparents have passed away. My father had a brother, but he went missing before I was born, and my mother was an only child. To answer your question, I'll say my father for his extreme gregariousness.

Would I regret asking why you actually commissioned a plushie of an old friend of yours in the first place?

I mean, it can't have been cheap.

What's the most impractical novelty item you own?

Approximately how many raindrops do you think have fallen down the back of your neck and been all cold and wet and stuff and made you shudder?

How many pockets are there in all of the clothes you own put together?

WHERE BE YE TREASURE, LANDLUBBER???

Well I knew I'd have to address this eventually, but it's just that I used to be... somewhat attracted to her when we were younger. I've not been all that interested in other mares, but Twilight felt like such a kindred spirit and I was always so sad we never got to know each other more. I can say with confidence that it's not a stalker-y obsessive thing though. Just... an old personal fancy. Dolls beat creepy letters any day.

Thankfully I've never had to explain it to a coltfriend before... -~-

It's funny, but @Jeric actually just recently worked out my name's wordage. While I do actually love the evening light and the night time, it's more of a discipline thing that I had to instill after school where I would stay up until AM hours every night for any reason I could come up with. I still very much love the sunset. ^ ^

21 minutes ago, Duality said:

Well, aside from a doll...

I'd say that's probably this set of non-functioning nautical tools that I use for decorations in one of my bookshelves, but I keep having to shuffle and condense them to make room. There's a sextant that doesn't move, a bosun's whistle that makes the worst noise, a nautical compass that actually does work and a collapsing telescope that doesn't even have a view.

21 minutes ago, Duality said:

I'm... sorry, but I really don't want to go digging through my wardrobe just to answer that. ^ ^;
But I'd imagine it's probably something around three-dozen?

In the middle of Luna Bay, mister. Resting far into the abyssopelagic zone where not a soul can reach it.

Why u no have a Bond Chronometer or nocturnal?

Actually I kind of want a nocturnal myself ... that's one fancy piece of old timey hardware. It would look amazing on my desk. I just need a pipe and Harvard Lockjaw accent to pull it all together then.

You and Amarynceus would get along well. ^ ^

I haven't been able to find anything other than what I have in the same brass finish, but since I'm running out of space I don't think I should worry about it as much anyway.

I keep an eye out for these on my way home from work, there are several novelty shops in Canterlot. The fact that they're not from a similar set, (and that they don't even work...) makes me want to keep them less and less.

6 minutes ago, Duality said:

I don't think she would want me to say. (I actually have never named her parents, but thanks to this ask thread I'm going to have to. Maybe even design them.)

I've got a passing fancy for the letter S. So one.

Recently, the Pillars Of Equestria reappeared in Equestria after 1,000+ years frozen in time.

So my question is, have you gotten a chance to meet any of them yet?

I haven't met any of them, but by my understanding there was no royal introduction so it would be pretty unlikely that I ever would. I do know they're all exploring the land though, so I may come across one of them on my next visit to Everfree Forest. I'm sure at least one of them will have an interest in it.
