movies/tv Anyone previously had but then lost The Hub/Discovery Family?

When I moved to a different location in my area, I instantly lost the channel 6 months ago upon switching cable companies (FiOS to COX), and now I'll have to wait another 18 months for an opportunity to get the channel back.

As I understand it, The Hub remained on the same channel number since before My Little Pony: FiM launched in 2010 on DirecTV, Dish Network and Verizon FiOS, and at least 2013 on COX. Has anyone else suffered this?

And once I get the channel back on COX (just that channel, nothing else), what's the monthly fee for it?

I don't get Discovery Family from the cable company my dorm uses. So I have to rely on internet live streaming for new episodes and Netflix for older episodes as well as the Equestria Girls movies. Back at home my family has DirecTV and we do get the channel.

Yes, I don't have cable at my apartment. Don't feel too bad, I was almost gifted it last Christmas, but decided on other things instead. I know that it's not on standard cable lists, so even if I was gifted cable I probably still wouldn't get it.

Back at home my parents pay for all of the channels. Thus, I haven't watched any FiM episodes since I was home in the summer.

The channel was on the list when there was TV before my grandma moved out, but now of course I don't because I don't have TV.

I used to have it until my parents switched to the Spanish package, which gets rid of all the good channels for a bunch of Spanish channels

 

It's worse considering all parents watch nowadays is soccer

I had the Spectrum Silver Package when I was in Clearwater, but shortly before moving to Orlando, they've moved it to Gold Package with no prior notice  . Oh well, I've hardly watched TV anyways
