I believe it's them on what they want to be called, and it shouldn't just be for the female fans, but all fans regardless of their gender or sexuality. I don't really call myself a brony if I'm referring to the show to another person, which usually, is someone that doesn't watch the show, I will simply call myself as a fan, as its easier than basically breaking then tension with the word "Brony" which makes it seem rather silly, and me watching it seem rather silly. I also know quite a few lady fans of the show, and from what I can tell, most of them like the term Pegasister over being called a Brony, and some who hate the term or even both terms, which I can understand because being called something that sounds cute can be degrading to some. (I don't know if you accept past transgenders, but I did call myself a lady during a good chunk of my time in the fandom)

I utterly hate the term "Pegasister". Im a female brony, a member of the brony community.

I know it's not favored, but I still think Pegasister has a nice ring to it.

Call them whatever they want to be called. The same should apply to male mlp fans. Hell I don't even call myself a brony. I actually call myself a "bronkey" on account of me being a Cranky Doodle fan.

You can call people brownies or pegasisters if you like, but ultimately its best to let fans define who they are. At the end of the day, we all share a common interest in this show and that's enough for me.

I WANNA BE CALLED A BROWNIE!!! IM SO DELICIOUSLY TASTE!

Funny enough, I actually discovered the term 'pegasister' a few days ago. I didn't care much about it since I'm more familiar with thinking both genders as 'bronies'. As for which to call, I don't really care, people should call them whatever they want
