Unity 332 January 30, 2018 Share January 30, 2018 Hey, so I just had some questions about the Accents of Bab Seed and Rarity. So I know that Rarity has a Trans-atlantic English accent but I was wondering if anybody actually speaks with that accent anymore and Where. Also I would like to know what Bab seeds accent is, I can assume she has some sort of New York accent(Probably a Manhattan accent), but I just can' say for sure. Future thanks for the help

Hazard Time 1,127 January 30, 2018 Share January 30, 2018 Babs is supposed to be an East Coast accent, possibly Brooklyn, Boston, or New Jersey (I live on the West Coast, you tell me lol). Rarity's accent, on the other hand, is an artificial, cultivated accent, a bit like British RP (Received Pronunciation). It was cultivated among the American upper class during the late 19th and early 20th century as a way to accomplish the same goal as RP, to distinguish the members of the upper classes from the lower classes. As far as I know, there are no natural speakers anymore and the only people who seem to use it are actors. 1 Roleplaying for Eight Years and Counting! I've always been reminded of Moira Quick, the referee from the Nick show Guts. Watch for her and you'll see.

I think that' the closest we'll see to a Rarity accent. Where is Moira from?
Lucky Bolt 35,212 February 6, 2018 Share February 6, 2018 Babs sounds like she's got a Brooklyn accent, or at least some type of northeastern accent, which is actually one of my favorite accents to listen to.
