Will the final season be completely serialized?

That was the case with Regular Show (IN SPACE!) and the original Teen Titans cartoon. A completely serialized final season would be far more satisfying than only taking two (predictably formulaic) episodes to beat the final villain.

I don't think it'd be completely serialized, but I'd imagine it'll help it. I just hope they make episodic build ups, like the rainbow power in S4, but increasingly more intense, until the last episode before the finale finishes with a cliffhanger

Naw, I like the way the seasons are set up now, I don't really see any need for them to change it, unless they decided it would help ratings-wise

Why would you want a cliffhanger? I hate cliffhangers, and many other people do too, some the best show series always seem to be tainted because the fans or reviewers will point out that it had a cliffhanger that didn't seem satisfying or it was just a bad cliffhanger to begin with. Cliffhangers always make a show feel incomplete, and I wouldn't want that to happen to MLP

I thought this season was going to be serialized, and that is clearly not the case, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. That feels to me like more of a genuine risk than this show is willing to take, and if it does take that risk, it's probably gonna be really vague, like the season 4 keys thing.

I sure hope the whole thing isn't just a buildup to defeating the villain, though. Where will I get my low-key personal stories and goofy sitcom concepts if the whole thing is tension and spectacle? I like most of the two-parters as much as the next person, but c'mon.

really i want an ending like they tried to do with Red v Blue in season 13, i love it when there isn't a happy, clean ending. as a 'they lived happily ever after' translates to 'and nothing of note ever happened to them again for the rest of their lives' it's boring. but an ending that's not really an ending is more like a never ending story, one that never concludes, and one that will go on even though the show writers aren't continuing it themselves.

I don't see how a cliffhanger just before the 2 parter series finale would make the show feel incomplete tho

Each episode is a continuation of the previous one and conflicts are not resolved until the finale.

Not gong to happen because each episode its own separate thing, and every pony act like they were extremely oblivious to their surroundings. Thats being the formula for almost several seasons now.
