Main character family that remains to be seen

Well, a big part of the fandom wish list since times of yore is mostly done, namely the main character family as a whole. We've already covered all the Mane6 (and by extension, two of the cuties), Starlight, and Spike is getting some this season as well. That only leaves Scootie  (though she's shown  with two lesbian aunts in a book, but actually appearing in the show wouldn't hurt), and most importantly: Sunny. The latter is more intriguing, considering she's an unicorn who left everything in Equestria behind and now lives in the human world, and the sole hint of her family was a mention of her not getting along with them in a comic, but I'd love to know of her family life, specially if she meets their human counterparts

I'm more interested in the show exploring a bit more of Rarity's family (as a whole) to see her parents' interactions with her and Sweetie Belle.

Yeah, that little snippet from season 2 was far too brief.

I think Scootaloo is preferred as an orphan by the show creators because one reason she looks up to Rainbow Dash so much is that she doesn't really have anypony else to look up to, and as cool as the lesbian aunts thing is, that would go against that.

As for other family members, it'd be nice to see Braeburn or Babs Seed again.

I don't think Scoots' aunts will show up. Homosexuality is still taboo in America and outright illegal in many other countries.

What are you talking about? Gay Marriage isn't illegal here in America.

But yeah, while we already had episodes that feature the Parents:

Twilight's family: S7's "Once Upon a Zeppelin"

Fluttershy: S6's "Flutter Brutter"

Applejack: S7's "Perfect Pear"

Pinkie Pie whole family: S5's "Heartsbreakers"

Rainbow Dash: S7's "Parental Glidance"

Other than a brief appearance in S2's "Sisterhooves Social" and cameo in S3's "One Bad Apple", we don't know much about them

Gay marriage is quite legal yes, and not as "taboo" is it "used to be" but as for putting homosexuality in "children's cartoons" is still considered a very risky and dangerous move. Which is unfortunate.
Personally, I don't really care about the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but I guess a background on Scootalo wouldn't be detested. I'm not really curious but I wouldn't mind seeing it. I agree with wanting to know more about Rarity's parents, but if I want to be real honest? I want to know more about Sunburst. He's adorable and I am very glad that they finally have a male "main" character that's been introduced besides Spike. And of course, there's one I want to know: SPIKE.

Well from FiM's perspective, just having a Sunset Shimmer appearance would be great.

From EQG's we already had the Celestia moment and it seems that only a big crisis can make Sunset return to Equestria. Maybe if they found the human Sunset and her family because EQG is not about little ponies as much as it is about high school girls.

Well, in Sunny's case the plot should focus on the Human World. And finding out what's with Human Sunny's life while at it is a nice bonus. Still, it'd be interesting to explore the family of an interdimentional alien horse, transformed and assimilated to the local dominant species is interesting

Pinkie's other sisters were also seen in The Maud Couple, as so was their parents in Rock Solid Friendship.

I know that. You can't expect me to list EVERY episode they were in. I was pointing the episodes where the family had the limelight.

Rarity’s family needs more focus, we ought to see something from Scootaloo’s folks, and seeing Sunset’s family at least explained in an Equestria Girls short would be wonderful. I hear something about Spike might be upcoming, which is particularly significant. I also want to know more about Cadance’s family, but I figure that’s not essential.

Yeah, her being adopted makes me much more interested than I would otherwise be.
