Oliver grinned. "Yeah, so that works out for both of us, huh?"

He looked up, considering Jenna's choice of words. "Now that you think about it, we do have a lot in common, don't we? Like how we both have powers and we don't go to parties."

"It goes a bit deeper than that." Jenna said "We are both alone here when it comes to friends, you because you're new, I because I'm a loner." "Then there's the fact that we both are quite different from what one would think our type of people would like." "the loser and the weird loner, harshly put." "It's kinda odd pair."

Oliver nodded, Jenna's explanation making sense. He frowned at her calling him a loser, but he knew she didn't mean it badly. It wasn't far from the truth after all. "Yeah, when you put it like that it makes sense."

Jenna looked thoughtful for a moment "And we just happened to meet just before all of this weird stuff started." "It really gets my inner conspiracy theorist to wonder." "Everything is just so odd." she chuckled "But all that can wait, right now we are just perfectly normal pair of young people hanging out in unnervingly empty city"

Oliver tilted his head. That was also a good point. "Maybe it was destiny or something?" he half-joked.

He looked around, frowning and holding Jenna tighter. "Yeah, it's really quiet around here. I don't like it."

"That's a whole conspiracy thing by itself." Jenna simply replied, half-humorous.

 "I'm bit unsure how to feel about it." she admitted "I mean, we know the reason for it, but at the same time it's so eerie."  "I wonder if some shops and such have closed their doors, I doubt too many have since there is no danger yet, but some may have."

Oliver kept looking around, not liking how quiet everything around him was. He kept sniffing the air for any potential dangers.

"I hope so," he said, "i don't really wanna deal with something dangerous."

"As eerie it is, I don't believe there to yet be any threat." Jenna assured "This is just a natural reaction to unusual situation." "But I'm not so sure about those dates, I still think it won't be a threat to us specifically, but that doesn't mean it can't be dangerous, hay, we have army on the streets."

"Still, it's kinda weird that the streets are totally empty all of a sudden," Oliver pointed out, frowning as he looked around. "There might be someone hiding out or something."

This, combined with that strange letter, was definitely making him nervous.

Jenna shook her head "Only thing hiding on the streets is the military." just as she said that, an old looking army-jeep drove past them "And they clearly aren't interested on us." if Oliver looked at the jeep when it passed, the soldiers inside didn't even look to the couple's general direction "It's interesting that they have brought out the old vehicles too based on what just passed us though." "It means they are using everything they have."

Oliver frowned as the jeep passed, but was a little relieved to see the soldiers weren't interested in them. "Is it really getting that bad?"

He gulped and looked around. "And what even is going on?"

"I know just as much as you do." Jenna said, even though she was sure it wasn't actually a question meant for her "But I can't shake the feeling it has something to do with the dates and locations" "And whatever it is, it effects every country." "But there's no use in worrying about it constantly, if we can't do anything about it, we shouldn't worry about it, if we can, there isn't anything to worry about."

"I know," Oliver muttered, frowning and looking over his shoulder in case they were being followed. "I just hope it doesn't have to do with us."

He looked into Jenna's eyes. "I just don't want you to get hurt."

"I have a feeling it has to do with everyone." Jenna replied "It's seems too big not to." "But you shouldn't worry about me getting hurt." she then assured meeting his glance "After all, I'm more prepared to fight than you."

Oliver nodded, looking around again. "Yeah, I guess so. It's still kinda scary though, the thought that someone might be after us."

He blushed and looked away from Jenna. "That's true, you're a way better fighter than me."

"Of course it is, but what's life without a bit of scariness." Jenna assured, not really sure if she believed it even herself.

"No need to get embarrassed, even if you look cute when it happens, I have been training most of my life after all."

Oliver grinned, feeling a little calmed by how relaxed Jenna was acting about the situation. "Yeah, I guess that's true. It'd be kinda boring if you didn't get scared."

He blushed more at her next comment. "Yeah, that makes sense."

Jenna just smiled "I could start training you more actively." she then suddenly said "You know, after school or something, it would work as a hobby to both of us, and you would learn important self-defense skills."

Oliver looked at Jenna and grinned. "That sounds awesome! You probably know a lot of cool moves."

Plus he really liked the idea of spending time with Jenna after school. Learning how to fight properly would be a bonus.

"It depends who you ask, if you ask my trainer, none of them are cool." Jenna said half jokingly "If you ask...well, yourself, they all probably are." she then added with a smirk "In my opinion the cool stuff starts when you get to the weapons."

Oliver blushed, rubbing the back of his head. "Well, yeah, I do think they're cool. You probably look awesome when you pull them off."

He looked at Jenna, eyes widened with interest. "You get to use weapons too?"

"Don't you remember? things like the staff." Jenna asked "And all the weapons in the practice are, well, practice weapons, so technically I don't get to use actual weapons." "But I can use them since I have an empty warehouse and powers to create them from any material I can get my hands on."

Oliver nodded, forgetting for a moment that the dojo indeed had weapons. "Right, yeah."

He looked at Jenna, curiosity in his eyes. "What kind of weapons do you use? Just staffs, or other stuff as well?"

"I prefer staffs and other balanced two handed weapons." Jenna explained "But I have practiced with pretty much everything I have managed to come up with." "Even with some none weapons like chairs." "I like to challenge myself."

Oliver nodded. He grinned at the thought of Jenna swinging a chair around to hit someone with. He wondered what weapon he'd pick up. "I'd love to see you use a staff more, you're probably really good at it."
