After some time passed, they would eventually make it to the end of the river. Waiting there was a decently large boat in pretty good condition considering how old it is.

"I bought it an auction a long time ago. Haven't used it much after that though. But at least I can say I didn't waste my money now."

"I wonder if its floor can stand me unlike in the airship." Ruby said as she landed....or well, tried to land, as her landing was far from the usual smoothness thanks to her injuries, and she pretty much crashed on the ground, letting out annoyed grunt.

The floor help her up just fine.

"This use to be a warship back in the day before it was auctioned off. We don't do auctions anymore due to some stupid safety thing. Now we just shoot the old ships with cannons until they sink."

"I wasn't aware ponies have ever had a water based navy." Ruby admitted "Seems bit unnecessary, since there really isn't that many creatures with water based vehicles." "And against water creatures they are pretty useless since they can't shoot straight down."

"It's good to have one just in case some other country with a navy declares war. If an enemy country tries to invade from across the ocean, we can stop the invasion by stopping their transportation. Now if only we had more airships."

Somnus got the ship ready to go and opened the sail.

"Now we are well on our way to where we need to be. Hopefully we don't accidently stumble into an area where fighting is going on. It's not exactly a good place to be considering your injuries."

Somnus got the ship ready to go and opened the sail.

"Now we are well on our way to where we need to be. Hopefully we don't accidently stumble into an area where fighting is going on. It's not exactly a good place to be considering your injuries."

"Aright then." Ruby simply said "I'll go and take a nap until you need me to something." if Somnus didn't need her, she would head to the darkest place she could possibly find and lay down there, falling asleep pretty quickly.

For a good while, things were uneventful. The wyvern kingdoms had no navy, so the bigger one wouldn't mess with them. During this time, Somnus used an old fishing net he found to catch a nice amount of fish. It was several hours into the voyage when Somnus went to wake Ruby up.

"I got us a bunch of fish if you're hungry."

"I've been worse, but also have been better." Ruby muttered "I don't know why I feel so tired, but it probably is nothing to worry about." she didn't yawn or anything, but it was visible and could be heard that she was tired.

He grabbed a funny looking flag and ran outside to put the flag up. A few moments later, the wyvern landed on the boat.

"Ruby, come outside."

She was able to sense the Wyvern outside, but she was too tired to care, until Somnus wanted her to go outside that is, and when he did, she got up slowly and with a deep breath made herself seem as well as someone with her injuries possibly could seem before stepping out.

This was a large wyvern. An old one.

"We need someone to treat her injuries."

Somnis pointed over to Ruby. The wyvern walked over and took a look at her and said something to her.

"It's not often your kind is seen around here. Recently, there were reports of one, a little more orange flying by. I was sent by the leader of the militia to investigate. Judging by your injuries, you've had a closer encounter. And judging by the fact you are still alive, I have plenty of reason to think the other isn't."

"Can you treat her?"

"No, I do not know much about healing. What I can do is pull the boat and get you there faster. One we get there, we can have her treated."

The old wyvern looked over at Ruby.

"What is your name anyway?"

"You can see her horn in the bag." she pointed at her saddlebags she was still carrying. Calti was hiding behind Ruby, fearful of the bigger creature.

"I see. We don't know everything about your kind due to the lack of contact. It isn't exactly easy to get into contact with the inhabitants of an unorganized land where everyone isn't exactly friendly. We do know that your kind could use a few pointers in terms of parenting though."

She hit her wing at Ruby's ribs. She probably wanted to see if anything was broken.

"You might want to be careful. I'm pretty sure she bites."

"To avoid me killing you, I will just tell you my injuries, there is no poking required." she then proceeded to tell her injuries regardless of the response, telling what she knew was broken, for example her leg and some ribs, what she suspected were broken but wasn't sure, for example her tail from few spots, and everything else she either knew or suspected. It was a quite a list, and it would most likely make Somnus understand why she said she could die to her injuries if she transformed to her pony form.

"It would be a good idea to keep your leg and tail from moving. While I cannot confirm that your tail is broken, it's best not to take any risks."

Wyvern took some kind of cast made with material way stronger than the kind used for ponies and put it on her leg. She then took another one and put it on her tail.

She then breathed some a strange fire that was... different. It went right through Ruby.

"What was that fire thing you did?"

"Broken ribs can be very dangerous because they could potentially puncture lungs. The pieces that have broken off are disintegrating right now. Anyway, you're good to go now."

"Okay, I guess we can find my parents now."

The ribs would also eventually grow back, that just took some extra time, not a big deal really, since they were technically useless thanks to the strong chest armor.

The wyvern took both Ruby and Somnus to house. The house was fairly large by pony standards, but it was small living for a wyvern. Clearly Somnus' parents were not too wealthy, but Somnus was okay with that.

When the wyvern opened the door, two wyverns would be seen. One male and one female. Other wyverns could be heard, but they were probably in other parts of the house. The female who had to be his mother was first to speak.

"Somnus? You're alive?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"I'll explain soon. I'll get you something to eat. You're probably hungry after going so far. Plus it looks like the red one needs it."

Somnus looked over at Ruby and joked.

"Wow, giant lizards are so untrustworthy aren't they?"
