Dynamo smiled softly as the female rabbit's giggles was like a soft melody to his ears. He chuckled as he was ticklish from her nuzzling, before returning the nuzzle from his beloved rabbit. He looked down towards her eyes as he felt entranced by her gaze. He soon leaned towards her as he rested his forehead against her own. "I'd like that very much. I admit that the peace will be nice, but a little adventure every now and then wouldn't be too bad. As long as the whole adventure and peaceful times can even everything out. All in all, I'm just glad to be with the one who means the most to me in my life." He closed the distance and he pulled Scarlet into a kiss.

-at the cinema-

"Thank you for the assist and that makes things easier to carry. I forget that you like to get a lot of snacks before watching a movie. It's always the same for our movie nights. Sometimes you need a tissue or two when it comes to watching such sad movies. I remember it was me or you that leaned on the other's shoulder and in a crying mess." She giggled as she remembered that she and her best friend had their movie nights, as well. So, it was nice to see that their kids had picked up on their tradition. "By the way. Which movie theater was the movie going to play at? Seeing how you got the tickets, after all." She looked around at the passing theaters, while Devin had been leading the way.

"Oh yes, but adventure on our terms" she would say, kissing him softly as she continued to snuggle up to him, and just about falling asleep.

-at the cinema-

"Either, Or" she says with a giggle "Sometimes it was me, sometimes it was you" she finishes as they arrive at the theaters and walked into the one, after giving the ticket checker their tickets and finding their seats.

"I wouldn't have it any other way. If the adventure is on our terms, then we can plan out an adventure. Just like we did when we were younger." He held her close as he snuggled up to her. He could only chuckle as he noticed that Scarlet was just about to fall asleep." Don't fall asleep on me now, babe. I thought we could have stayed up all night and had a video game..." He wanted to finish in saying a video game marathon, but stopped as a yawn had escaped from his lips. He knew the travel had made him tired, but he didn't think he would feel this tired.

-at the cinema-

Gentle giggled as she listened to Devin listing away the times either one had cried during a movie. "There were so many emotional moments that you can't help in shedding a tear. I remember I took you with me to see A Star is Born and we both just became an emotional wreck. I hadn't cried that much since I was a filly." She smiled at the nostalgia as they arrived at the correct theater room. After Devin had given them their tickets, the two headed into the room as Gentle looked around for their aisle. "Hmm...let's see. It was around the middle row near the back. Although, it's also perfect for the best view in the theater room." She noted as she was able to locate the seats in question.

Scarlet would smile, resting her head on Dynamo's chest and curling up next to him and falling asleep in his arms. As she slept, her whiskers and nose would twitch every now and then, as would her feetpaws.

-at the cinema-

Devin smiles and nods as she sat down at her allocated seat and waited for Gentle to join her.

Dynamo wanted to try and stay awake, but found it impossible to keep his eyes open. “I don't think I’ll be able to stay awake. In case I fall asleep, then I wanted to wish you goodnight and I’ll see you in the morning. I love you sweetheart.” With one final yawn, he closed his eyes and allowed sleep and dreaming to take over.

-at the cinema-

As Devin had taken the allocated seat, Gentle smiled as she made her way over towards the other available seat. “There you go. One diet vanilla come and some snacks and popcorn for us to share. It looks like we made plenty of time. The movie doesn’t look like it’ll start for another few minutes.”

Devin smiles "good, I can't wait to see the previews, that is unless we just get repeated ads again" she mutters and leans against her best friend "This is nice, it's been so long since we had time to do this"

Gentle smiled and giggled softly. "I don't think that would happen. To be fair, my son told me that he went to see the first Ponymon movie in theaters. Something about the series celebrating the 20th anniversary of the movie being released in theaters. He said there were a few previews for certain movies that were getting an anniversary. Either that, or there were some repeated ads from the VHS and DVD versions." She suddenly grew quiet as Devin had leaned against her, but Gentle didn't move away. In fact, it felt nice having her best friend be next to her. "You can definitely say that again. It's always nice to get out of the house to see a movie every now and then. We should see some movies more often. It would be nice to get back into that sort of tradition. Maybe we should plan a movie night with our kids when they get back from Manehatten." She whispered, before leaning next to Devin.

Devin nods and smiles "It would certainly be nice, it had been too long" she would say, continuing to lean on Gentle "mm have I ever told you how much I love how soft your fur, mane and tail are?" she would ask wtih a slight giggle "and you are right, a nice double date"

"I think you may have told me once or twice, but it's always nice to hear that, you know? I can say the same about you. I do like your hugs and how they are warm and comforting. I like your personality as you have that never-ending enthusiastic nature. That doesn't take away the fact that you are, indeed, pretty cute." She giggled and swayed her tail slightly, while Devin continued to lean against her. She took a sip of her drink as she began eating some snacks, before nodding at the idea. "I guess that settles it, then. How do you think the kids will react. Seeing as how we'll be calling it a double date and all."

Devin smiles "Knowing how sharp our kids are, they may have already figured it out" she would say, holding Gentle close "I mean we've lived together for a while now, and we even share the bed and have pet names for each other," she would say as the movie finally begun to start.

Gentle smiled softly, before frowning at Devin's response. "Hmm...I don't know. Dynamo saw you as a second mom or an aunt, sure. Although, I don't know if he ever considered the possibility of you liking me." She says as she felt Devin holding her close. "I wouldn't say you and I lived together. Maybe more along the idea of hanging out, being there for each other. I agree on the part about the pet names. Isn't that right, Dev?" She giggled softly as the move had begun to start.

Devin giggles and nods "That is true, well it'll be a nice surprise for them" she would say "And you are right there, Gen" she'd say, watching the movie as they cuddled close "I love you" she whispers.

"I just hope they'll be okay with the idea. I just worry about my son, or Scarlet, or both of them being worried. I know that he and I still miss Quick, but I guess it's just worrying to try and move on." She says with a nervous smile. She giggled as Devin had brought up the nickname that Devin had given her from a few years back. Everything had gone by normally throughout the movie. As they cuddled closer, Gentle was caught off guard as she heard what Devin had told her. The periwinkle mare hadn't said anything, at first. She remembered hearing those words from Devin earlier that same day. "I..." She started to say, still feeling unsure of herself.

Soon, she began to think of all the memories of her and Quick when they were together. She knew that she could never forget Quick, but she knew that she couldn't stay in the past forever. As she steeled her resolve, she looked to Devin and nodded softly. "I think I feel the same way. Maybe you and I can talk about it after the movie? We're still watching the film, after all." She whispered softly with another giggle.

Devin smiles and nods, holding her close as they watched the classic movie. After a bit, the movie ended and Devin stretches with a smile "Ah still a good classic" she would say as the end credits rolled "It's getting late, did we want to pull into a diner soon or have dinner at home?" she would ask, going to put the empty soda cup and popcorn box in the bin "but I know how you feel, I do worry how Scarlet will feel, how-ever..she is used to same gender relationships, due to her aunts" she then smiles at Gentle "Your son is a good boy, he will understand I am sure"

As the movie had continued to play, Gentle smiled softly as she felt Devin had held her close. After some time, the movie had finally ended. “Well, it’s like the old saying goes. You can’t beat the classics.” She says, standing up from her seat to stretch. Once the lights had turned back on in the theater room, Gentle had pulled out her phone to see that it was late. “I didn’t think it was that time already. I guess I didn’t take into account on how much time the movie had consisted.”

She thought momentarily at the options that Devon had presented her. After a moment, a thought had occurred to her. “Hmm...I have a better idea. I’ll go with the choice of going home, but maybe we can order some food to be delivered. It’s late, but not too late to still order dinner. What do you think?” She followed Devon out of the theater room, while helping in throwing away any candy wrappers and soda cups.

At she listened to Devin’s explanation, Gentle shook her head, while waving her hand at Devin. “Oh, no. I didn’t mean it in that way. I know my son is completely okay with same gender relationships. It’s just...” She sighed softly, trying to find the right words to say. “...I’m just worried because of what I told my son and myself. It took us some time to cope and for the realization that Quick was gone. After some time had passed, I had told myself that I wouldn’t find anyone else to marry. There really wasn’t anyone who could replace my husband. It’s what I told Dynamo as I knew he understood that no one could replace his father. It’s not that I’m worried about this potential relationship. What I’m worried is what the kids will think. I’m more worried that he’ll think that you’re replacing Quick. I’m sorry and I hope I didn’t say anything wrong, Devin.” She says, giving her friend an apologetic look in her eyes. All the while, feeling nervous of what she had told the female rabbit. Seeing as how she didn’t even tell her friend about this, until now.

Devin smiled as she quickly took hold of her hands in her paws "Oh darling, no one could ever hope to replace him" she would smile warmly at that "He will always have a special place in your heart and in Dynamos" she then kisses her nose "And I would never want to try to replace him, but I do want to help you move on and to fill that hole in your lives" she would say, wiggling her little tail "You know Quick would want you to move on, at least I believe he would"

As she waited in worry of how Devin felt, she was momentarily caught off guard as Devin took her hands into her paws. She looked up and noticed that the female rabbit wasn't angry or upset. As she listened and saw the warm smile, she could feel her heart and cheeks begin to blush warmly. "Thank you and I guess I never looked at that idea in that perspective." She says, holding back a giggle as Devin kissed her nose. "I'd like that very much. I think Dynamo would like that, as well. You were always so kind and caring to him. It would be nice if you were to be a part of our family, Dev. I just hope that you're right. I've always wondered if that was what Quick would want from me and my son." She says, looking up at the ceiling of the theater building as they continue to walk.

Devin smiles and hugs her close "Then it is settled" she would say with a kiss to her nose once more before walking back to the car with Gentle "and of course I was always so kind and caring to Dynamo, he's always been like a son to me" she would say "As for your idea of ordering food in, that sounds like a great idea" she would then wave to the cashier at the ticket booth as they passed and when they got to the car, she would open the passenger side car door for Gentle "We might have some Gin and Tonic to celebrate with too"

Gentle giggled as she felt another kiss upon her nose, before returning the hug. "I guess it is settled. Maybe we can discuss everything more when we get home? I'm just glad that we were able to talk about all of this." She says, feeling slightly better after she talked about her feelings on the matter at hoof. "I have no doubt about that. I remember how he saw you as family after he accepted to Scarlet moving away. I know that, in time, he will see you as a second mom, or a second parent? I hope you can forgive me, but I'm kind of new to this relationship. That, and I haven't been in a relationship for quite a while." She blushed in embarrassment as she wasn't sure how to explain her thoughts. As they left the theater and to Devin's car, Gentle smiled as the female rabbit had opened the passenger side car door for her. "Thank you kindly, Dev. You didn't have to do that, though." She giggled, moving into the car and taking her seat on the passenger seat. After closing the door and putting on the seat belt, she nodded at the idea to celebrate. All the while, waiting patiently for Devin to start up the car. "I don't see why not. By the way, should we got back to my house, or your house? I have some beverages at home, but I wasn't sure if you had those beverages too."

Devin nods and smiles as she listens "It's okay, this is my first after Scarlet's dad left me" she would say "So it's pretty new to me as well" she'd then start the car after buckling up her seat-belt "I'd say go to yours, most of my things are there anyway, and what better way to celebrate than a few drinks, snacks and a cuddle with the one you love and of course those adorable pets"

As Devin has started up the car, Gentle had smiled in relief, before nodding in agreement. “I’m glad I’m not alone on this. I guess the first order of business is to just take things one step at a time. Just go day by day and see where the road takes us.” She says, laughing happily at Devin’s suggestion. “Okay and that sounds like a plan to me. Plus, our kids will probably be worried if I’m not at the house. Seeing how Scarlet lives there now. Snacks, drinks and cuddles sounds absolutely divine. We can’t forget our pets, Chocolate and Milkshake. I’m sure they’ll be truly happy to see us and to have some company.”

Devin nods "Chocolate and Milkshake are such sweethearts" she would say with a big smile "Do you remember when Scarlet and Dynamo were little, they weren't just inseparable from each other, but from Chocolate and Milkshake too. Where two would be, you could bet the other two would be or close by as well" she chuckles and continues the leisurely drive back to their houses "And yes, one step at a time"

“You can say that again, Dev. You’d think they took after our kids.” She giggled, nodding in agreement. At the mention of the memory, Gentle gasped as she turned in her seat to face Devin. “I remember that as clear as day! I could never forget the times we had to use the jaws of life to pry our kids apart. Especially when it was time to have dinner or to go to bed. It was especially the same for Chocolate and Milkshake. I seemed to recall a time that Milkshake was looking for Dynamo and Scarlet. Not even a few minutes of searching the house, I saw Milkshake was scratching at the front door to the house. I couldn’t explain why, but I simply opened the door and let her go. I kept an eye on Milkshake, but stopped as I saw her going to your house. You’d think Milkshake and Chocolate has a sixth sense for our kids.” She giggled, smiling softly as they continued their leisurely drive to their homes.

Devin smiles "Oh I remember that" she giggles "and you're right, you would have thought they took after our kids" she smiles and sighs a little "Milkshake always loved Dynamo, I don't think there ever was a time you wouldn't find those two curled up together at night, sleeping, even now" she would look over to Gentle when they reach a set of red traffic lights "Guess the same could also be said about us really, there was rarely a time when we around one another" she says "except for of course, when you had dancing lessons"

"I remember Milkshake loved Dynamo and Scarlet evenly. Even before she started to live with you and Scarlet years ago. Every night, before bed, I would always check to make sure Dynamo and Milkshake were okay. What was so endearing was Milkshake curled up and sleeping on my son's stomach. She made sure he was safe and kept him company. It's a shame I couldn't take a picture. I even remember I wanted to call you when Milkshake or Chocolate made their way to each other's houses. I just chose not to as I could imagine you had a feeling of either one showing up. I could only imagine Scarlet would be curled up next to Milkshake, or even Chocolate. Those two seem really drawn to her as if she were a pet whisperer." She giggled and sighed, before they had reached a set of red traffic lights. "Well, why wouldn't we want to not be around one another. Morning teas were really peaceful, watching some shows or movies. Even telling each other about our day's was a treat. It's like I had found a best friend when I didn't even realize I did. Dancing lessons was the exception. Since I had to go to the dance studio from time to time. I'm still very grateful that you were able to watch my son when I left the house."
