"If that's the case, then Scarlet could be a detective when it comes to love. That, or a matchmaker for other ponies and creatures for relationships." Gentle would say, giggling as she return Devin's kiss with a smile. "At this point, I think it would be nice to call me mom. That does bring up a good point. Seeing how Devin is your mom, then how do we not make things seem confusing?" She would ask as she turned to Scarlet, before turning back to Devin.

Dynamo was surprised as Scarlet had turned to kiss him. "Sweetheart? I don't think we should kiss when our parents are around." He would say, before noticing his mom and Devin kiss. "Huh. Actually, I guess never mind, then." He chuckled as he returned his girlfriend's kiss. "I was going to ask about that. If I called Miss Devin mom, then how would we make it to where we aren't calling our actual mom? That sounded really confusing by just saying that." He would say, chuckling as he felt confused.

Scarlet giggles as she cuddles up to him, while her mother was thinking "I think you can just call me Devin without the miss" she'd say "I'm sure we will think of something, for now, just Devin will do" she responds to him before looking to Gentle and giggling "You know, I think you're right about that, Scarlet's always had a intuition and a knack for when it comes to things like love" she'd say.

Scarlet smiles some more "I just always knew that Dynamo and I would end up together. You don't become the best of friends like we did and then not end up together"

Dynamo smiled as he wrapped his arms around Scarlet and held her close. At the same time, cuddling up to her and nodding at Devin's response. "I think that's a good idea. We can always think of something else in the future, but I think calling you Devin will be okay." He would say, Gentle nodding in agreement. "If that's the case, then you can just call me Gentle, Scarlet." She would say, giggling in agreement with Devin. "Of course. I mean, she takes after her mother, so that means you two share that same intuition. Considering how much you said you cared about me." She would say, smiling and kissing Devin's cheek.

"I can't argue with that form of logic. I always knew I cared about Scar as a best friend, but over time I guess I cared for her more than just a friend. Although, I think there can be an acceptation to that form of logic. I mean, Starlight Glimmer is one of my best friends, but she and I don't really see each other as boyfriend and girlfriend." Dynamo would say with a smile.

Scarlet would nod "Well that is true, I think I can explain that" she'd say "See, you and I have known each other since I was a kit and you a foal, where-as you met Starlight much later on in life" she would say, holding Dynamo's hand "I knew I'd always have your back and you would always have mine, and I can see that is the same way with our moms" she'd say before stretching "Now, I think both Dynamo and I should probably get some sleep in, it was a very long drive, after all"

As he listened to Scarlet's explanation, Dynamo would nod as he understood her form of logic. "That does make a lot of sense when you put it that way. I did meet Starlight much later on, but we did have a very close friendship. The only difference was that it wasn't as close of a friendship like you and I have. We always had the craziest ideas, but we always had one another's back through it all." He would say, nodding as he looked over towards Gentle and Devin. "I guess our moms are the same way as us. I mean, we are our mother's kids, after all." He chuckled as he heard Scarlet's remark. He was about to answer, but stopped as he he thought he heard his phone ringing. He went to check the message to see that it was from Button. "Oh, sugarcubes. Button said they are a bit understaffed at work. So, he needs me to head over towards the arcade."

Gentle frowned, but nodded as she knew the importance of work. "I'm sorry to hear that, but business beckons. Just make sure to not work too hard, okay?" Dynamo nodded as he turned towards his girlfriend. "I will mom and I'll be back in a little while, sweetheart. I'll let you know when I'm on my way back." He smiled, kissing her cheek as he stood up and made his way towards the front door. After exiting through the front door, Dynamo began to make his way towards the arcade.

Scarlet would pout a bit but then smiles, hugging him "Don't work too hard love" she'd say, nuzzling him before letting go "I might actually just play with Marshmallow and Chocolate while catching up with our moms" she'd say with a smile "And okay, I'll have dinner made by the time you get back"

Dynamo gave a sad smile, before returning the hug. “Don’t worry sweetheart. I’ll make sure not to go overboard with working at the arcade. Makes sure to give Chocolate and Milkshake a lot of hugs for me. I’ll be back in a while.” He would say, making his exit and heading towards the arcade. After he left, Gentle looked over to Devin with a look of concern. “Hey, dear? Is everything okay? You seemed to have been lost in thought. Did you want to talk about it in private?” She would whisper into Devin’s ear, so as to not worry Scarlet about anything.

Scarlet smiles "Don't worry love, I'll give them lots of love for you" she'd say as she watched him leave and went to play with the pets.

Devin smiles a little "sorry love, I guess I am just  relieved that Dynamo took the news of us being together well, seeing as you had promised you wouldn't find someone else" she would kiss her cheek "Do you have to return to work, or can you stay a while?"

Gentle smiled a little, before nodding at Devin's remark. "It's okay and no need to apologize. To be honest, I thought I saw a concerned look in my son's eyes, but he didn't want to say anything. He did seem remotely happy, but do you think you should go see him? Maybe try to see what might be bothering him? If there's anything going on, of course." She would say, knowing that she had promised that she wouldn't find someone else. "I only had morning classes today, so I can stay for a while. Why do you ask, dear?" She would ask, smiling as she felt Devin kiss her cheek.

Devin smiles at her and nods "You think I should?" She'd say "I think you're right" she gets up and hugs her "I'll be right back love, is there anything you want me to pick up at the store on my way back?"

Gentle could only nod with a neutral expression upon her face. "I think it would be for the best. We wouldn't want anything to happen to us or our children." She smiled softly, before returning the hug. "Thank you dear. If you need anything, then just call me. I don't think we need anything from the store. If there's anything you have in mind, then you can go ahead and pick it up. I'll see you when you get back." She would say, kissing Devin's cheek as she pulled back from the hug.

Devin would kiss Gentle one last time before getting into the car and driving to the arcade. It didn't take long for her to get there as she knew the route like the back of her paw, and as she parked in the nearby parking lot, she'd brush her ears a little nervously. She'd walk into the arcade and sigh, making her way to where Dynamo was. She'd cough softly "D-Dynamo?" she would ask him softly.

As he arrived at the arcade, Dynamo had alerted his boss that he had showed up. Button Prompt, a purple pegasus with a black mane and tail was looking at Dynamo in confusion. Seeing how he was the owner of the arcade, he didn't get why his coworker/friend was working today. He had been given the day off as he knew Dynamo and Scarlet were making their way to Manehattan. He decided to let Dynamo stay as he knew any and all help around the arcade was appreciated. Dynamo thanked his friend and sighed, before going over towards a random arcade machine and began to play. Upon hearing someone cough, Dynamo jumped slightly as he turned to see who was calling for him. He sighed in relief and smiled as he saw that it was Devin. "Oh, hi Miss Devin. What are you doing here? Is everything okay?" He would ask, tilting his head slightly in confusion.

Devin looks at him "I..." she shakes her head "Your mother and I are worried." she pauses "we know you gave your blessing, but..we saw that look in your eyes, please...what is bothering you?" She would ask him "Is it the promise Gentle made?"

Dynamo has turned away from the arcade machine to give Devin his attention. At the mention of something bothering him, Dynamo looked down to avoid her gaze. Reluctantly, he nodded as her guess was right. “Y-Yeah. I mean, I’m happy that you and my mom are together. It’s just...I’m just confused. My mom told me that she promised that she wouldn’t remarry. Sometimes a promise can be broken, but I just thought my mom meant what she said. I understand that sometimes someone can never be replaced, but I just don’t want my dad to be forgotten. I’m sorry, Miss Devin.” He closed his eyes as he felt ashamed for admitting what had bothered him.

Devin would gasp and pull him into a tight hug, gently rubbing his back "Oh sweetheart" she would say "Your father could never be forgotten, never ever" she would reassure him "and there's no need to be ashamed, you love your father and just want to be sure that he isn't forgotten, and your mother knows that, as do I" she would say "But as you said, sometimes a promise can be..broken, or maybe in this case, should we say bent? Because I would make sure that your mother would never forget your father"

Dynamo was momentarily caught off guard as he was pulled into a hug by Devin. He could feel tears were welling up in his eyes as he returned the embrace. "I-I know. I just...miss him and I know my mom would feel the same. I just worry that he'll be forgotten or if I'm not doing a good job in taking care of things, while he's gone." He remembered promising to take care of his mom and the house as a last request from his father. He listened intently to Devin's words of reassurance, before looking up into her gaze. "Really? I mean, I never really thought of it that way." He looked back towards the ground for a moment, before looking back towards Devin. "I suppose there's always an exception to the rule. That, and I guess we all could have discussed it better. I just said yes without saying anything. In fear of making anyone feel uncomfortable or upset. I'm sorry about that Miss Devin and you're right. You were there for my mom and I when we lost my dad, while also remembering about the good times."

Devin would giggle a little "Oh sweetheart, no one could ever forget your father. He was a really wonderful stallion, he was such a major goofball, yet he knew when to be serious about something" she would say, wiping his tears away, "He was also a very kind and caring stallion" she'd say "And honestly, the relationship between your mother and I was a bit of a surprise for both of us as well, but rest assured, I will treat your mother with the utmost love and respect" she'd smile

Dynamo would nod with a soft smile, while blinking as Devin wiped his tears away. "I know and I began to understand why he acted the way he did. It was his way of letting others to not feel scared of the unknown. That, and if they were facing a difficult situation, then he made things not seem as scary as it appeared to be. To some, it may have seemed like an odd way of dealing with things. However, I liked how my dad made others feel calm and secure in his own way. It showed how caring he was for his work buddies and friends." He would say, nodding once more as he listened to Devin. "I know and I don't doubt you. To be honest, I didn't really need to be at the arcade. I'm sorry about lying and I hope you can forgive me, Devin. I just hope my mom and Scarlet can forgive me, as well." He would say, while remembering how to refer to his new mom from the group talk.

Devin nods and hugs him again "It's okay sweetie, i understand and I am sure the others will" she says softly "Tell you what, you take your time here, but I'll get Scarlet to come over" she'd suggest "And you know we are all here for you, and if you feel the need, I can maybe organise an appointment with Dr Wolf for you"

Dynamo nodded as he returned the hug. "I hope so. I know my mom and Scarlet can be understanding, but I guess I can't help in worrying. I never wanted to lie or anything like that. I just worry I might have done something wrong to make them upset." He says, thinking about the suggestion, before raising an eyebrow. "Are you sure, Devin? I mean, I can wait for Scarlet to show up, but I know she might have wanted to rest. I thought it would be better to go back home so we could have a sort of discussion about it." He would say, before nodding about the appointment. "I think that would be a good idea. It's never good to keep bottling up one's own emotions. That, and I don't think I ever had a meeting with Dr. Wolf. I think organizing this meet up will be good and needed."

Devin smiles at him "Alright, I'll schedule an appointment with Dr Wolf for you..or would you prefer miss Aramau?" she'd ask with a giggle and a wink "Anyway, I feel they should hear this sooner rather than later" she would say, dialling up Gentle's number.

"I think Dr. Wolf would be perfect. I did hear about Miss Aramau, or Mrs. Firebrand from the news of Aramau and Firebrand's wedding. Plus, I don't think it would be a good idea to just arrive at Firebrand's base without scheduling an appointment first. Unless you'd like to be launched out of the party howitzer." He would chuckle softly, before tilting his head slightly at Devin, who was dialing up Gentle's number. "What do you mean, Devin? Do you mean my mom and Scarlet about hearing this conversation sooner instead of later? I mean, we could always go back to the house instead of calling? Although, I guess calling works just as well. Even though, I think it's important to talk face to face, but that's just my train of thought." He would say with a shrug of his shoulders.

Devin would nod "I'm going to see if they can come here, if anything, I think Scarlet would like to relax playing some of her favourite games" she'd say with a smile "Trust me, it's for the best, and while we wait for them to get here, I'll make the appointment with Dr Wolf for you"

"I see what you mean. I think it would be nice to relax and play some video games." Dynamo would nod, before sighing softly in worry. "I just hope that my mom and Scarlet will understand. I just feel bad like I lied to them and everything." He shivered slightly as he felt nervous. As if he had committed a crime and he was in big trouble of sorts. "Thank you for letting me know as I know an appointment will be helpful." He rubbed his arm and looked around, while nervously, yet patiently waited to hear any good news from Devin and the others.
