I hate the KCAs.

The Kids Choice Awards always have SpongeBob winning. I swear, they rig it just to keep their mascot growing strong. If My Little Pony were nominated, then it would not only jeopardize Nick's Mascot's ego more than Donald Trump's chances at a second presidency, but it would also WIN thanks to US, the Bronies! I mean, does SpongeBob even THINK he's the biggest thing in the world, even bigger than Mickey Mouse, like Alvin of The Chipmunks once said! I NEVER watch Nick or Cartoon Network to make me stupider! I already have my life ruined by My Little Pony and Video Games! When's Hasbro gonna have an awards show? They got plenty of shows to praise without infuriating everyone. Personally, My Little Pony is a winner in my book.

Well, you're right about one thing. Because it's a show on Nickelodeon, of course the viewers would end up voting for whatever is popular or plays without giving any non Nickelodeon shows and movies a fair chance. In Fact, Avatar the Last Airbender winning in 2008 over SpongeBob was the only time to my knowledge someone other than SpongeBob won Best Kids Show, as far as I know.

Plus Sponge Bob lost in its charm for me after S4, I would say.

The Academy Awards were much better and it's still more the higher-ups than the public doing the votes

I hate it when Networks are biased against non-network shows. It's like the Cable Providers are biased against networks belonging to the competition in this day and age of Net Neutrality at Risk. If Cartoon Network had an awards show, and Disney had an awards show, and Discovery Family had an awards show, then everybody would be happy! I like My Little Pony WAY more than SpongeBob, because of the A-List Talent in names like Tara Strong, Tabitha St. Germain, Andrea Libman, Ashleigh Ball, Nicole Oliver, John De Lancie, Weird Al Yankovic (whom I'll be seeing come July, and yes, I'll be wearing a Hawaiian shirt, at the behest of my sisters), Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt (who play Kinga Forrester and Max, TV's Son of TV's Frank on MST3K), amd more!

I'd rather be watching reruns of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic or Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog any day. Now THAT'S entertainment!

Doesn't sound any different from any other awards show to be honest. I love Spongebob, but only the first few seasons. These days, it is the only super-mainstream thing they have left at this point, so of course all the spotlight will go to it. Nickelodeon congratulating themselves for not outright murdering the show and letting it live this long. Woweedoodles.

You just found that out? It's so blatantly obvious that the show is rigged and bought out for the last decade. Hell, in KCA 2017, the awful Ghostbusters reboot cleaned house on all the things it was nominated for despite being loathed by everyone and their fucking mother, the same year that had Captain America Civil War, Doctor Strange and Star Wars Rogue One. Just Dance has won every award for game of the year despite being less relevant than The Annoying Orange, last year had Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart and it still one, this year it's going against Smash and Spiderman, which do you think is gonna win regardless?

I've known that for years. It's stupid that they treat SpongeBob like he's Bigger than Mickey Mouse. Do YOU think he's bigger than Mickey Mouse? I also ignore award shows, because they're not worth watching. In fact, this show I watched one day during High School, a show from 1995 called "The Maxx" is more interesting than the KCAs. It's about a homeless guy in purple who wears a mask, and how he goes between the Real World and the Outback against his will, based on a comic book seires by Sam Keith.

But what do you know about the Maxx? I'm just voicing my annual disgust with the KCAs, and how My LIttle Pony will never have the privileges of other shows in the KCAs. Honestly, MLP will always be a winner in my book.

Don't hate them. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. It's better to not care about crappy, obviously rigged award shows than to give them attention and encourage their worthless existence through acknowledgement.

I used to think the KCAs were rigged and I still think it would be cool to see something other than SpongeBob win. It’s fine to have whatever opinion you want on the show, but here’s the thing: Like it or not, SpongeBob is still the most popular kids show on. Yes, even more popular than MLP. This is the Kids’ Choice Awards and the majority of voters are kids. There have been other shows popular with the older crowd that have been nominated in the past (Gravity Falls and Steven Universe come to mind), but they didn’t win, so I don’t see why MLP would fare better even with its fanbase. The only other show that’s on the same level ratings wise is The Loud House (another Nicktoon) and that didn’t win, either. I honestly don’t see why it matters. I’ll admit I still watch every year, but I honestly stopped caring about who wins what.

Also, there were Nick shows that got nominated but didn’t win. This year, Fuller House won over Henry Danger (which they’ve promoted as the #1 kids comedy) for Favorite Funny TV Show, America’s Got Talent won over Double Dare for Favorite Reality Show, and Ellen DeGeneres won over the hosts of Lip Sync Battle Shorties and Double Dare for Favorite TV Host.

Well, obviously kids favor Just Dance over Super Smash Bros, which means they'd rather be dancing than fighting. I mean, SpongeBob may be claimed to be "Bigger than Mickey Mouse" but the only Mickey he'll be bigger than is the Paul Rudish Mickey Mouse!
