It was that simple of an answer. Ponies feared spiders because they were spiders. Those things were not fun.

"No idea. I think I slept through the fear lesson in psycology."

Placidus looked over at the goose from early. It seemed to just be swimming around doing goose things.

"Do you think he will do something interesting again?"

Mystic just shrugged "Don't know, it's a bird, it may be stupid enough to try again." "I stopped paying attention to it when it ran away." she wasn't sure if it would have even near the amusement to see the goose do its thing again as it had before, because things tended to get old after several times.

Mystic just blinked, she didn't really know what she was supposed to do with that information "I see." "My dreams usually consist of creatures of darkness and other nightmarish things." "I do wonder if Luna knows about it, since she watches over the dreams, and if she does, I'd like to know if she's powerless to do anything or if she just doesn't care."

Placidus waited for a moment before splashing her again.

"Nah, it would be pointless, I'm used to it." she got her revenge by splashing back, from all directions, since her shadows had been up the whole time and were still at their splashing places, "At this point I would probably freak out if I didn't see them."

"Ever tried lucid dreaming? Do that and you can do what you want. Yellow pegasus guy taught me that."

Placidus just spashed again. He did not have the ability to do anything crazy.

"I always do that, but being able to do what you want doesn't help with what there is in your dream, especially when that something is caused by outside forces." Mystic pointed out before splashing back again.

"That does sound like a problem. And I'm guessing you can't simply destroy the outside force since you seem like the type that would if it were possible."

"I don't actually know." Mystic replied "I can only assume I'm mentally strong or something, there isn't even any books I could study to figure it out for sure because they aren't accessible for public due to the risk of corruption."

Mystic face-hooved "The reading doesn't corrupt anypony, but they are locked away because the reason why you would read them is in most cases because you are planning to use such powers." "And sure, maybe I would be let to read them, but the thing is, I'm just a random mare in Ponyville who just happened to be born with such powers, I most likely wouldn't even get close to a castle, not to mention actually getting to talk to somepony." she was thoughtful for a second "Maybe that's why it doesn't corrupt me, I was born with it."

Then again, if that so-called bat pony sees you, he will probably notice. And he knows how to fight. Of course, he's technically one of Luna's guards, but you know."

"They wouldn't just let some pony to walk in without a reason, and telling the reason could end up to me being considered a threat." "And then there is the fact that I may be special, you may ask why that's a bad thing, but I really don't want to become a target of studying."

Mystic asked, before turning thoughtful again "Sure I could lie and tell I need the princesses help with something that is only for their ears, but I really don't want to get their attention in that way, since all I want is some books."

"Again that sounds a bit too dramatic considering I just want some books." Mystic replied "And they would most likely ask more about this anomaly so they would know if it's a threat."

Placidus suddenly went under the water and didn't seem to come up.

Mystic just shrugged, not that she had time to say anything since Placidus went underwater. She expected him to either grab her hoof or try to scare her, so she prepared mentally for that.
