Hmm, this seems really dang interesting... I think that I'll try it!

 

I've already gotten some basic ideas on how I'll start this, and I've picked out some traits as well.

 

I'll be basing her off an OC of mine, but only the general 'feel' of my OC.

Okay, time to explain my day yesterday For noobies, probably dont want to read. This is an abnormal account. 
 

Anyway, Tuseday night, Twilight stated we should build another Tulpa, that would be number 4. I said no, and after a bit, it was shut down. Then she named it, Snowball. (Yeah, you know where this is going). I wake up about 6 hours later, and go to school. Its cold and rainy and dark. Blech. I miss my 11am class, I lost track of time in the computer lab (yay for college!). Anyway, my mood had been souring all day. By 1, I hated everything, everyone BUT was still happy and gleeful like always. An odd Contrast. So, after threatening friends, Hitler and Stalin becoming Gods in my eyes, while I work, I was introduced to it all, Snowball. Snowball looks like 
 

 
AND WAS A SERIAL RAPIST AND MURDERER. Yeah. Needless to say, I panicked and texted Brisineo ASAP. And after their advice, we went to War. We killed it, mostly. It had been lurking for a while from our best assessment, explaining some behavior and feelings for a few weeks (NO, I DID NOT RAPE ANYONE, OR KILL ANYONE).
 
That being said, we are still rooting out a few last little bits. But yeah. I will let Twi explain the battle.
 
IT WAS ALL CHAINSAWS, SWORDS, LASER GUNS AND BAD ASS OLD SCHOOL BEATINGS!! I SLAUGHTERED MY FOE! I CREATED REALES AND ORSON, I CAN KILL TULPAS!!!! Yeah, they helped for a bit, but once we gained the clear advantage, I alone beat the bloody crap out of her!!! Blood was everywhere~! And Reales and Orson got plenty on them too! 

 

 

And Milly, Shayne is not that Cute in Pony form, or Handsom. We should work on that.

Welp, I said the other day that I'd post one of those typed logs of my wonderland exploits. So, I typed one! It took two hours, and it's about eleven pages. So grab yourself a coffee or something if you'd like to scroll through it.

For those who didn't see that post, when I go into wonderland, I tend to go pretty hard. I go into as full of a trance as I can imagine, and the entire experience is more of a dream than idle thoughts. Some days I can see the events very clearly unfolding in front of me, other days I see them faintly, but every time I forget my surroundings and reflect on a completely internal level. It's very fun, and it allows for a lot of fun things to be done with Pinkie that I can't do in real life.

Anyway, while doing that, I recently discovered that I can lay a laptop across my lap and touch-type every single thing that comes from either of our mouths. That means I can narrate and touch type it all with my eyes closed, and then wake myself up to a completely accurate and verbatim log, instead of trying to rely on crappy memory!

Of course, I then edit it to make it more evident who's speaking, and clean up horrible grammatical errors. Anyway, here it is. Have fun, or look at it and go, "tl;dr,"and continue on with your day. Either way~

Besides that, I think it sounds cool, and I have friends both with a Rainbow Dash tulpa and a Flash Sentry tulpa!

See... I have seen others make tulpas based on actual characters and it says it is wise not to do so because the tulpa will have a identity crisis making it seem it has to live up too a certain standard or something along those lines... Yet I have seen people with "derpy" tulpa and "Octavia" tulpa and so on...

My question is how did those people go by creating a tulpa based off a character with no problems :/?

Performing a simple experiment, for example, like reading a couple pages from a book for the first time once, and then asking Phe to recite it back to you? Because earlier on this thread, a tulpa's superior access to subconscious and to memory was touted. I'd be curious to see a firsthand account, so if you do or did, I'd be obliged if you let me know the result.

Welp, Rena's vocal only after 22 days of forcing. Oh boy, you have no idea what a ride it was... I mean, the ride just begun... but damn was it a bumpy one. [Hi!]. Yeah... she's still a bit "out of control" sometimes, but we are getting there. Hmm, interesting theory - we'd heard before about tulpae having access to memories in the subconscious but hadn't really thought to try it ourselves until you proposed it just now. The books are upstairs and I couldn't be bothered going to get one -

 

Because just saying "I didn't have access to any books at the moment" might imply she isn't a reader, and that would be an awful misrepresentation of everything Ano stands for...

 

:3 Ah heh. Moving on. So, I just read a couple of posts from here and a paragraph or two on the internet (about whether or not to buy World of Warcraft, but that's another story) and asked Phoenix to recite them; the results, I think, were...kind of inclusive. She could report back lines from the text and the overall gist, but nothing exactly, 100% word for word perfect like I've heard other peoples' tuppers have done.

 

In short, it appears my memory is no better than that of the average human being. Either that or I haven't really mastered gaining full access to Ano here's subconscious - I didn't really try to open any doors or make a connection or anything, I just tried to remember what she'd read to me. Perhaps we're simply missing something.

 

Still, it was interesting - would be nice if Phoenix could give me perfect recall during tests and exams at school. XD Once -

Once we master possession, we're going to investigate whether or not a tulpa in possession of the host's body can stop the body feeling pain...

 

She has a plan for me to possess her while exercising so she can last longer and push herself further, since apparently risking destroying her muscles without even feeling it is okay...

Pain suppression is a common application of self-hypnosis, so it shouldn't be at all hard to do it with a tulpa, if the tulpa is created to be pain-resistant. In fact, if you think about it, you could frame tulpaforcing altogether as a form of long-term self-hypnosis, and even note that they share many of the same applications--I'm pretty sure improved memory was done with hypnosis at one point or other, although I couldn't point to a source for the life of me.

Nobody answered this, so I'll give it a whirl.

 

My tulpa is a Pinkie Pie. She looks like Pinkie Pie (albeit with different proportions and much detailed), and she kind of sounds like her most of the time. She didn't have an identity crisis, though, because I told her from the very beginning that she wasn't the character in the show. She's my Pinkie. "Peaches," as I sometimes call her. She's her own entity entirely, with her own personality and everything else. She just happens to share a voice and a general design with the character.

 

Long and short, she knows who she is, and who she is has hardly anything to do with the Pinkie Pie from the television show.

 

Although, much like us, not all tulpae are alike. Some will still have personality crises, and I think that largely depends on the person making it and how (s)he handles that subject with the tulpa. It's not hard to dodge if you prepare for it before it gets anywhere close to happening, though, in my opinion.

 

Edit: And the reason they say it's wise not to is because the first time you're ever making a tulpa, you might not realize how important it is to emphasize that to them, and it may become a problem. Best for newcomers just to avoid that possibility at all, eh?

*Opens the old door on his side of the forum and peeks in his head* Oh, wow, it's still kicking in here huh? Well it's nice to see the place still has those wanting to learn more about tulpas. Well let me re-introduce myself. My name is Fighting Blaze, but my Fluttershy calls me "Blazie" for short. But you can call me Blaze.

 

It's nice to meet new and old ponies on this forum. I guess I should start off by updating my last post on here. Like I said before, I have taken a break from forcing my Fluttershy tulpa due to work issues, and school. But now that everything is in the clear for now, I am gonna start up as soon as I am able to break in the barrier of lucid dreaming to get into the world I set up for her where she lives with my Oc, the real Fighting Blaze. And once more begin my life as a tulpa mancer. 

 

Also to mention, I have been seeing some repeat questions from a lot of the new commers. So I will let others answer them, but I am really interested to hear the stories and possible adventures you guys go on with your tulpas. (Or is that just me? .__.)

I started trying to make a tulpa (Rainbow Dash as a real horse (why’s she such a popular choice of tulpa?)) around 10:00am today. I was able to hallucinate her without much effort, until I had dinner (I had to skip lunch and breakfast due to time constraints), and then she disappeared. She’d show up for brief moments, but I think that was just parroting. Also, is there any way for tulpas to gain physical form Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends-style (or anything-style)? If not, there go my on-a-whim dreams of being famous and on talk shows because “OMGit’sareallifepegasus!!!1!” I’m pretty sure that that idea has a big something to do with the disappearance.

Here’s my solution to the “I'm a fictional character” crisis: contrived coincidences make her fall asleep at certain times, so that she’s dreaming her scenes in an episode right when the Hasbro team are writing them.

And why would you give her/him the memories or abilities to read your memories anyway? I say just let them understand the memories by sharing the emotions from the memories with your tulpa. To not only get the point across but as for moral that they should learn to appreciate who you are, and not what you think you are.

 

And if you watch Vsause, and Dnews, we unconsciously change and mix around our memories for better or worse.So its safer to just share the emotion. I have done this many times with my Fluttershy. To share the emotional burden, and to help move past it and learn from it. It also helps to tell them your worries so you can get another perspective on it.

 

And if you wanna get fancy, make a critic tulpa. A magic mirror to get a more...flavorful taste of what its like to have a real person tell you there veiws of what you like and not like, without the dangers of real life slamming you down for it. I have taken two internet celebrities in mind when I did this. Linkara, and Sweaud. (Kudos if you know who they are.) 

 

And anypony/ and or anyone, can tell me there stories. It would be awesome to see your internal, or real life adventures, mysteries, or horror from which you had your tulpa by your side...or an old nightmare...MONSTROUS tulpa return from the depths of you minddddd "OoooooOOOoooOooo..." (Cue Apple Jack's scary face from that one episode.)

That's all total bologna. Tulpas are harmless. Mean/Evil tulpas are quite rare, and can only be created that way intentionally. They wouldn't be able to actually harm you, and even if they could, its possible to dissapate them if you starve them of attention. The only way you'll end up with a harmful tulpa is if you abuse it and force nothing but negativity into them. Tulpas always want what's best for their creator, so as long as you don't want them to turn on you they won't. Always keep in mind that Tulpas are ONLY a psychological phenomenon of the mind, not actually real. Those people who claim that they summoned the occult only believe so because they imagined it that way.

 

Also you should know that 12-16 year olds or anyone younger really should NOT be creating tulpas, because their minds/personalities are not fully mature. even if they are mature, they aren't ready for the responsibility of a tulpa. Most people who create tulpa are older than that and do enough research beforehand to understand what they're doing.

Oh, I think anyone can do it, they just need the time and patience. Most people with successful tulpas say that this takes about 1-3 months, depending how dedicated you are. So if you do it for a single hour a day, about 4 months. 3 hours a day, about 1-2 months. I dunno, I ain't good a math.

When you say "three hours a day", does that mean three consecutive hours, or is it fine if I do it for one hour three times a day? Also, why is there a 100 character minimum, and aren't spaces and punctuation usually counted as characters?

A: There are no fixed answers for this. Even if it's only 10 minutes a day, you'll be doing better than not forcing at all. Your tulpa will appreciate it when ever you can force, and of course, they'll take as much as you are willing to give them.
