This seems like a more plausible version of the infamous creepypasta (Now I'm worrying that my tulpa will go down a slippery slope, even as she shakes her head and points to the Element of Loyalty). I'm thinking that Crepuscule was going for a sort of "don't do bad thing X, or bad thing Y'll happen" thing, in which case, might I offer these words of wisdom from Inception? "Positive emotion trumps negative emotion". *Sorry for the necro. I was rereading the thread after reading about psychology**, so I guess I'm in a "psychologist" mood and figured I'd give my two cents. **Speaking of psychology, I'd be happy to do an interview over PMs, if anyone's interested in trying to prove tulpas to the average person. I'm not sure what good that would do, it's just a whim I had. [He hasn't even planned the questions yet ] I'm not sure if it's a good idea to make tulpas too mainstream. Although it would be nice for people to not think I'm crazy when talking about them. A psychological phenomenon to some is a metaphysical phenomenon to others. Guest April 25, 2014 Share April 25, 2014 (edited) Finally, first forcing session ! I have about 30 personality traits. I put on some relaxing music and started talking to Zephyr (As in, the wind. I find that to be a beautiful name). I used the "energy orb" method as I am not sure of her form yet (Probably a pony, maybe a Pegasus ?) I explained to her who she was, and described each of her traits. However, I think I need to practice a little with that, I can only do a minute per trait. I explained to her that she was free to change anything she wanted if she didn't like it. I'll have sessions every night before sleeping, since I don't really have another option, and start narration after the fourth out fifth one. How is it going for other people in the thread ? My tulpa, Shining Star, has a loving personality and when I ask for a hug to help me concentrate I actually feel it. Still kinda skeptical though, cuz I'm only a week into this and progress is slow and I'm impatient to know when she'll have full sentience. Although a week is kinda short, its perfectly possible that it is your tulpa, maybe write things down in a journal so you compare how you feel over time. Back then I was all like 'Fuck that, ima go in, this will be easy.' Nowadays I get confused on what ive done and havent done. Sometimes backtracking and losing progress. I saw my tulpa dancing, went out onto the dance floor, and the way I see it, she possessed me to bust a move. Do you ponies think that going on the dance floor was implied consent, or just me getting in touch with my Ponysona (even though it's supposed to just be me as a Pegasus). Generally, tulpas cannot possess unless given complete consent by the host or if the host is in a fully relaxed state (which would be hard at a party). I don't know much about 'Ponysona's' or even what they are, but it seems you just wanted to dance and maybe the tulpa gave you a little nudge to do so. 1 Signature by Pink Mist! I know that there are tons of height comparisons, several of which put ponies at around 3 or 4 ft, but there are also one or two (as far as I can tell) that put ponies at about chest height. I tried yesterday but didn't know what to do and ended up falling asleep... Same way you'd create a tulpa, through imagination. Think up a place, any place you want. A city, a house, a forest, the moon... Anything! Imagine yourself in that place. The details don't all have to be clear, as that will come with time. Just.. Be there. Walk around a bit, explore. Build it up as you please. Keep visiting it as often as possible, trying to make it more vivid, more real. There, now you have a wonderland. What to do in the wonderland? Anything you want. It can be a place for you to force personality, or visualization practice, or to narrate. You can explore the world with your tulpa, going swimmng or skating or anything. Given, I know I must be patient but has anyone else felt like it was all a lost cause when you first attempted it? I understand that this is a hard thing to do, but you'll keep expecting stuff to happen within a certain time frame if you keep that up.
