Age doesn't really matter for that sort of thing. People can enjoy stuff at any age (as you already mentioned, most of us are adults who enjoy children's cartoons).

Grandma Shirley says "it's ok to be old and still play video games", keep playing video games until you feel like stopping.  Listen to Skyrim Grandma.  Be like Skyrim Grandma.  I mean, if they have video games in some retirement homes, why do we have to stop playing them when we reach a certain age?  That's just silly, if you enjoy the thing, do the thing.
