Jane 123 February 7, 2020 Share February 7, 2020 Discovery Kids decided not to broadcast 'The Last Crusade' in Latin America. I only come to comment on something fun that I just noticed on Wikipedia when I saw the broadcast date of season 9 (which has not yet been completely broadcast) and that is that Discovery Kids, the channel responsible for broadcasting the series for Latin America, decided wait until an episode is missing (The Last Problem) to air it, and apparently it will air on 08 of this month, the day after tomorrow, almost a week after having broadcast The Ending of the End. What you think? Maybe to avoid controversies with Scootaloo's aunts? Since the episode was broadcast in North America, there have been several parent sites alerting about this episode and things you have already noticed, prohibiting their children from watching the series and another things. Discovery Kids is a small channel, much smaller than Discovery Family, which broadcasts Peppa Pig at least 5 hours per day and their only decent program is My Little Pony, maybe they wanted to avoid the controversy, they did not broadcast the episode until they broadcast all the rest.
StitchandMLPlover 930 February 7, 2020 Share February 7, 2020 Latin America and some other countries may indeed be censoring the homosexual ponies. I know India and Arab countries censor any romantic lines in the series when they dub it. 4 My short independent films about physical disability! http://cripvideoproductions.tumblr.com
Miss 6,233 February 8, 2020 Share February 8, 2020 Yea that's fucked up. Hopefully one day episodes with lgbt related topics can be shown because of course that would probably mean alot of other lgbt advancements have been made in society/government
Misty Shadow 7,940 February 8, 2020 Share February 8, 2020 This is also a common censorship made to kids shows in Asian countries, places like China and Signapore. *sigh* Such is life. Comet's still best boi. <
Lambdadelta 1,462 February 9, 2020 Share February 9, 2020 Then should they remove Slice of Life too? That episode outright shipped Lyra and Bon Bon.
Cash In 22,459 February 9, 2020 Share February 9, 2020 I do think it was most likely done to censor Scootaloo's aunts. It's a dumb reason to not broadcast an episode, but unfortunately that's the way things are in those places. 1 At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
FirePuppy 735 February 11, 2020 Share February 11, 2020 I guess that leaves The Last Problem yet to air on the channel.
Steve Piranha 29,430 February 11, 2020 Share February 11, 2020 I can tell you with all certainty that Latin America isn’t the most lgbt friendship continent Sig by Discords
Metemponychosis 1,262 February 14, 2020 Share February 14, 2020 Amusing. I'd like to know one thing: most of the grid for the channels like Discovery Kids are not 'national' channels. Makes me wonder if it was the people in the US/Canada that kicked the episode or if there is an actual curation on the countries it's being shown. https://www.fimfiction.net/user/32864/Metemponychosis For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out. And I'm just getting started.
