Was Discord more trouble than he was worth?

With discord, he's so powerful that it must be really boring being around ordinary ponies. If I had Discord's powers, I would definitely mess around with them and troll ordinary ponies. While he does go over the top, what's the point of having all that power if u can't use it. I prefer him messing around to Celestia who is supposed to be powerful, yet doesn't do many powerful feats through out mlp. In fact she spends more time being captured than she spends beating villains. 

Also the fact that he's the only one of his kind might make him a bit resentful of pony kind.

He was certainly a problem for Hasbro, to have to be removed at important story plots. But he was a good character, especially in S07E12

Good thing about him is that he doesn't take much active removing - if it's the rare situation where he might actuallu be bothered to help, he can always be off hopping between dimensions.
