I've been feeling like I'm a lot older than I really am back when I was 22 going on 23. Since then, it's been a major issue of mine which has required me to take medication for. These days, despite being in my early forties (As of this post), I feel like I'm around 95 or 96.

I think feeling old has nothing to do with age. If we don't stop discovering the world, progressing and doing new things, we'll never feel old :kindness:

I don’t really feel old since strangers see me as a bit younger than I really am. (17, 18).  Age shouldn’t be something to be embarrassed about, it is merely used to make you feel guilty about your “achievements” or “productivity in society”, to which you have no obligations to! (Same as adjectives like “lazy”.)

You only have obligations towards yourself, to make sure you stay happy and healthy.

I started feeling old when I hit 25 years. BTW I'm 37 years old now and I really feel old.

I totally agree! Some people should really be ashamed of their behaviour, despite their age :please:

Many people claim our 20' are the best time of our life. We are young and have infinity of opportunities. My 20' were the worst. I started to live when I hit 30. We're far from being old my friend :fluttershy:

I think you start to "feel old" when you stop feeling happy. I'll never stop feeling happy.😊

An overgrown child I remain, but at 43 your body is not what it was a 23. Around 35 a new awareness set in. 40 was a big pivot. At that point I embraced the midlife crisis and told myself I was just gonna have fun. I have mostly succeeded at this.

But, the feeling of invincibility is gone. It used to be there. I never once owned it, but that doesn't mean I didn't feel invincible. I don't now. It's certainly more realistic. Know what you're really capable of has its perks and its trade offs.

I don't really like how I look right now. I need to loose about 30 pounds and get back into shape, but you reach an age where that isn't as easy as it used to be.
