I wonder what would FiM and the Movie be like if the following composers wrote and orchestrated the music?

Just because a composer is good at making music for certain media, doesn't mean they are good at creating music for MLP.

And example, Koji Kondo is mostly good at writing video game music that are optimized to have very little instruments. The more instruments, the less effective his music becomes.

Another example is Mark Snow. He composed music for X-Files. Then he went on to make music for Smallville, which basically felt like X-Files 2.0, more or less because of his music.

There are many legendary film score composers out there, but I think Daniel Ingram and William Anderson did a great job. If it weren’t for them, the MLP we know wouldn’t feel like it is. The scores are iconic and inseparable from the series at this point.

But those composers you mentioned are professionals. I’m sure they would have gotten the job done more than perfect if they had the job.

If MLP had a richer and more epic sound, it wouldn’t bother that much. Remember when Applebloom talked to Big Mac at the end of Sisterhooves Social? I like to hear more of those kinds. And I’m sure these composers will put in some unique and memorable themes as well. I don’t mind music standing out if it helps the narrative.

The only problem is the budget.
