YES. YES. JUST. FREAKING YES.

I can't wait to blast that little thing all across the streets with maximum acceleration and speed.

Slight change to the list the Subie has been upgraded to an Cosworth.(It's a pre tuned car straight from the factory(For ponies it comes 20% cooler out of the box))

Well the first most wanted did not have online multiplayer and I personally did not enjoy the turning. I play Burnout Paradise still but its gets pretty boring after you have done everything. Plus thing game would bring both of those great games and merge them into something amazing! Edited by Lightning Bolt

First Most Wanted was the best NFS ever imo, but I'm not too big on the series. Hope this new one is great though. :)

I'd prefer they'd put a 2 at the end or something though, people might get confused and think it's just an HD upscale or something(which actually already exists, since the 1st Most Wanted is also on 360).

True, the succession of sequels is confusing when it comes to these things. Like with Hot Pursuit (2010) thechincally should've been called “Hot Pursuit 3” since the first one came out in the 90's, and Hot Pursuit 2 came out in the early 2000's.

PC version has/had online multiplayer. The tuning could have been a bit better though as much as I hate saying it. While it is fun driving a Fiat Punto at speeds over 200 MPH, I'm pretty sure that is impossible with a 4 cylinder engine in a compact car. I know realism wasn't the goal but still.

Slightly off-topic: Am I the only one who absolutely hated Burnout Paradise?

I can neither confirm nor deny myself being the cause of electrical related malfunctions. Anyways, you wouldn't happen to have a jar of replacement magic smoke would you?

I am delighted to hear that Most Wanted will be back. It was one of my favorite games back in 2005-2006, I had so much fun playing it with my friends. Did I mention Razor was an asshole?

So is this a remake of most wanted or just using the name?

Since Most Wanted was the last really good NFS game.

Everything after was just ok

(Also I really didnt like the Prostreet games)

More like what I would call an “aftermath reboot”, as in “reviving” it after all this time it's been released. They're taking the major concepts of the games (like what they did with a Hot Pursuit two years ago), introducing it to the full-time seventh generation, enhancing the graphics, performances engine, etc.

Also, they're changing the story around too, I think the locations will be the same/reminiscent of the original MW. We haven't seening customization yet, which will seem to be a huge dissapointment considering the game that this is reviving. :/

I love the NFS-series. Well... At least everyone of 'em until NFS Carbon. I'm in love with Most Wanted from 2005. I seriously hate Carbon, Pro Street, Shift, Hot Pursuit, Shift 2 and The Run... It's not the same AWESOMENESS that Most Wanted have. It's not realistic but it's so awesome~ I think that those games are... Too realistic. They're really boring, seriously. I wont even try the new Most Wanted 'cause it would never replace this wonderful game

I've played it for 7 years and it's still my favorite game <3

Yes, many iconic elements have been spawned off the original MW that have been carried through later installments.

I guess I could say I was an NFS fan for a long time. Along with my childhood collection of PC/PS2 games, I had NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 (the one that came out in the early 2000s), and it was a ridiculously fun game. It had a nice expansive environment that included many unlockable tracks and cars, which were unlockable in the challenge mode, and along with the titular Hot Pursuit mode, you can either be a cop or avoid the cops, with in-depth controls and commands. There were some games with modes like that before, but in my opinon, it truly revolutionized it. The game was just so full of replay value.

Also, I had NFS: High Stakes (How the heck did I remember the name...), that I played on my PS2 growing up as well (PS1 game, played it on the PS2 ._.) It followed pretty much the same concept, but wasn't so heavily focused on cops, and lacked any kind of mode. It was just typical, first generation NFS racing with expensive and sporty cars to drive. Also, it had quite an interesting damage model for a PlayStation 1 game (i.e. cracked windshields).

Then, I pretty much stopped playing them altogether until 2005, 2006 ish when I started to buy games for my new PSP, starting with Underground Rivals (let me just say this, this is singlehandedly, possibly the best game I ever played on my PSP, it left such a mark on my childhood, wasted many many hours on Saturday nights playing it, the customization was incredible, it was just a freaking fun game.). Then I played Underground 1 and 2 on my PS2 for a bit, then I eventually started to get more PSP and PS2 games, starting with Carbon, onwards.

This is nothing but a pipe dream but, if they put the horn code back in from NFS 3, that would be awesome.

El Nino FTW.

Oh man, I love it when developers put cheat codes that literally screwed with the game code, while making the game even more fun. I kinda wish unrealistic code were present today, they were one of my favorite parts of the 5th and 6th generation games. In this case, I doubt they will do that, but it'd be cool.

The El Nino was the fake car in the game. It was also the best but I don't think you could get it without cheats i.e. SPOILT as a name.

Was and still is quite fun flipping cops over especially in 2 player. Yay for emulation!

I know it will never happen but it would be cool none the less. It would have been awesome if codes like this carried through the generations. Now we're lucky if there's a 2 player option that doesn't involve the internet (one of my main gripes about Burnout Paradise).

Also: Apparently the PC specs have been leaked (sauce - Main article not in english)

More info!!! New cars confirmed

http://www.needforspeed.com/news/blog/american-dream-machines

Updating the car list!

Not surprised by any of those except for the Hummer H1. They always bring out surprises in these games.

Then again, I think those cars were in NFS games before...I'm trying to remember...I think there was one in Underground 2 but I'm not sure.

Here's some more info on game progression and features on Most Wanted.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/02/need-for-speed-most-wanted-is-how-open-world-racing-should-be

Also here is a new car confirmed. Koeingsegg Agera R (First time Koein did a convertible in a video game!)

http://www.neoseeker.com/news/20148-need-for-speed-most-wanted-video-shows-off-more-cars-gameplay/

The thing that shock me is their is no unlocking cars. You find them instead. And you can switch cars on the fly as well. (Good in Burnout Paradise I found myself switching cars far too often and going back to the junkyard was a pain.)

http://assets1.ignimgs.com/2012/08/02/aventadorjpg-43ff69.jpg

Two new cars confirmed.

Pagani Huayra

BMW M3 GTR

The GTR is in it's iconic livery. It's on the left of the Red Huyra you need to zoom in to see it.

I'm just a bit Skeptical on this. I mean I loved the First Most Wanted but that was really the last NFS game that I enjoyed for a long time. If they don't screw it Up I'll defiantly get it.
