is the CMC also known only as old legends?

we know that in G5 the Mane Six are known only as ancient legends because of their exploits. now I had a doubt, the CMC dedicated themselves to helping the ponies discover their talents, did they also get a place in history as just an ancient legend? or just the Mane Six achieved this feat?

It's possible that they might be mentioned in some historical records of their sisters, but unless they did something great that we didn't get to see, they would probably not have become historic figures in their own right.

Though for what it's worth: An early draft of the G5 movie starred a pegasus with a half-functional left wing. That got me thinking that if G5 were to give us another handicapped pegasus, it'd be cool to have them using some piece of technology to help them fly, with some reference to Scootaloo having been involved in its initial development.

I hope they get some love. They deserve it.

I doubt they would be remembered. They didn't have the kind of heroic feats that the Mane Six did.

well, they can be remembered as:

. those who managed to earn their marks at the same time.

. those that have the same brand.

. the ones that helped the other ponies discover their talents.

. Sweetie Belle would be remembered as a great singer (or songwriter) Apple Bloom would be remembered as a great carpenter, Scootaloo would be remembered as a great athlete.

But anyway, only time can tell us, only the future of the G5 can tell us if: Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo also achieved a place in history.

Possibly, but it is also possible that over time they faded out of memory like so many others in G4. Since the mane six were legends, other characters like Celestia, Luna, the CMC, and Discord might have been lost to time.

Are CMCs worth being legends? Here is what I think: Yes, according to animation. No, according to story.

The episode S09E12 showed basically the entire Equestria helping Scootaloo to not be forced away from CMC and Ponyville by her parents. This was an animation thing.
The episode S05E18 showed CMCs being cheered on by the entire Ponyville population as well as taking photo with the Princesses. This was an animation thing.

Story wise, they ended up as teachers for a school, that promoted friendship between races, something that G5 didn't have anymore. So they are no legends. There are no talents for cutie marks anymore, at least not in the movie. They were also not doing that much CMCing after they got their cutie marks, to keep themselves famous. Even their YouTube channels have dropped in subscribers lately (seriously, go and subscribe to the voice actors :()

Hmmm...hard to say.  Depending on how much time has actually passed, it's remarkable that even the Mane Six are so well-remembered, right down to their exact appearance.  It shows that a lot of records of them survived.  The further we go back in human history, the fewer records there are.  I'm sure Twilight living an unnaturally long life had something to do with there being a lot of records of not just her, but her friends as well.  Still, one would think she would also make sure other prominent ponies and creatures from her time, including the sisters of two of her friends, along with their friend, would be well-preserved too.

That would have been interesting.  Of course, it seems highly likely that Scootaloo's problem wasn't her wing size, but a magic deficiency.  Physics don't agree with ponies flying, so it's not just wings that make that possible, but magic as well.  If anything, Scootaloo's wing size was a symptom of the ailment, but not the ailment itself, or at least that's my headcanon based on observation.  A faulty wing would have been more of a physical problem, not a magic one, though that still would have made for an interesting callback while giving us a new character to root for.

Seeing as they never really changed the course of Equestrian history, I doubt they would have figurines like the mane 6. However, they did have a few entries in the journal of friendship. It wouldn't be too hard to believe that the book was preserved and used for research in the future, especially considering the amount of copies that were printed in "Fame and Misfortune". I could absolutely see Argyle Starshine (Sunny's dad, MLP a new generation) studying that journal.
