" My name is not Mary. Just as your name is not Silver." She allowed him to pull her up, and felt his grip loosen. She tried to put weight back on that hoof but found it was still painful, she held that hoof in the air bent so it would not touch the ground and all her weight on her other three legs. "Do you even know how to identify injurys? Or heal them for that matter?"

" Oh okay. The food sounds good, I will just stay here I guess..." She settled down in one chair and tried to relax. "Sorry for snapping at you, its just for a twist it really hurts and I am just a bit irritable right now thanks to the drama that has been going on lately. She tried to smile slightly to try and appear alright.

((Haha sorry XD ))

"What?" Storm turned around to look at the pony catching up with her. "What are you doing?" She asked surprised and looking at the other pony. After realizing that the unicorn was following her to leave the place together a smile appeared on her face. "You finally are coming! Aren't you?"

MaryAnne flinched from the cold ice pack being placed on her leg. "Thank you." she said to him, soon the ice started to releive her pain and she reached out to grab a few crackers from the platter and started to eat them. "So what is the diagnoses doc?" she asked between bites, "Will we have to amputate?" she said in a joking manner, her torso shaking with a giggle.

Chancy caught even with Storm before slowing down to answer. "Yeah. To be honest, I've wanted to leave her for quite a while, but I guess it took your little outburst, if you will, for my brother to realize it. Thanks for that." She said, rather cheerily, her eyes closed, and a grin on her face.

MaryAnne smiled, she enjoyed the faint golden glow of the candlelight. "So is your father a doctor?" She asked him, she was curious to find out more about him and his family. She noticed his gaze lingering on her then looking away. She thought of it for a moment then shrugged it off forcing the thought from her mind. She then could not help but look at him back, his silver gray mane seemed out of place. "How old are you? You seem younger than your mane would suggest." She blurted out.

"Really? Wow, I have never heard of that before." She smiled at him, thn waited a moment. "Sorry about bringing your father up...it seems like it is a sensitive subject...." She shook her head apologetically then began again, "Do you have any other family members, are you all out here?" she asked him.

(OOC: Ugh, sorry for my absence Can we pretend that Ruby have simply walked behind them in silence? I don't know how to write it any other way. Sorry again.)

Ruby stood silent next to the chair MaryAnne was relaxing in, still staying silent thanks to her shyness having kicked in again after they met Silvermane. She was a little concerned over her aunt's ankle, but she knew that she was going to be alright, Instead she looked around the beautiful room they were in, amazed by the details.

MaryAnne noticed how her questions made him sorrowful and cringed, she mentally kicked herself in the flank for pushing the subject.

"I'm sorry..." she spoke in a soft tone, she also thought it was a good time to change the conversation. She pushed her chair away from the table and stood up slowly, "I think I can manage.Just as long as I step gently.".

She gingerly stepped towards the telescope, her injured foot carrying little to no weight as she stepped smoothly across the floor.

"Do either of you know your constellations?" She asked them both.

MaryAnne smiled and laughed at his joke, her laugh was warm, jolly and hearty. "Quite glad indeed." She said as she was giggling.

"And where is Ursa Major?" she asked him. She had always wondered at astronomy but had never had the time to learn anything about it nor the opportunity or a teacher.

MaryAnne smiled and looked up at the constellation for a second but her gaze was distracted. Her eyes could not leave Silvermane's flowing silver mane, How regal he looks...unlike myself, she glanced back down at herself. Her maroon mane once an updo was cascading down over her face and horn, and her hooves dirty from the walk there. She brushed aside her mane and looked back up at the stars." The...uh...y....the stars look very nice tonight, the sky is so clear." She managed to sputter out.

Storm's mood went from burning rage to cheerful happiness in a single second. She turned to face Chancy and pulled her into a friendly hug. She stopped beaming to ask Chancy, "So what way is it to Canterlot? I want to get back to the farm as soon as I can. I'm sick of this place!"

Chancy looked up at Storm, the smile on her face fading ever so slightly as she realized. "I... I don't know. I've never been outside the walls, remember?" She took a few steps towards the gate, staring it down, slightly intimidated by it's size. "Maybe there's a road we could follow?" She asked, turning back to face her new-found companion.

The mare blushed "Oh no, I am just fine, thank you." She stepped back from the window and shook her head. Testing her hoof by putting wieght on it she prooved she was fine. She stepped back up besides the stallion. "Thank you for showing me all this...and taking care of my hoof."

"Oh! ... Right... Our safest bet is walking towards the castle's building lot I guess" she said pointing at the huge scaffolding that surrounded the upcoming building.

She started walking down the path and tried to come up with some conversation with Chancy. "So? How does it feel to break the rules? Are you excited to discover the world out there?" She drew an imaginary line along the horizon with a hoof. "Have you ever asked yourself what's behind the horizon? It always gets further away when you walk or fly towards it!"

Chancy turned her head towards Storm, slightly overwhelmed at the bombardment of questions she was receiving. "You ask too many questions. Almost like a filly." She said, beginning to laugh. "I'm not really excited about it, but I'm not not excited either. No, I have not imagined what's beyond the horizon. I think that I'd rather just find out when I get there." "Right! I'm excited about being free again" she said adding a little backflip to her point. She was bursting with joy and wanting to run, jump and fly.

She started trotting towards the mountain that indicated where their destination was located. "Last one's a lame filly!"

"Whoa!" Chancy exclaimed, a clear exasperation in her voice. "Canterlot's a good 12 hours walk from here. If we race there, we'll both end up like my brother was."

Her expression turned a bit sorrowful at the mention of her brother, but she quickly rebounded back to a airy cheerfulness, not wanting to burden Storm.

MaryAnne smiled at him, returning his gaze, but once realizing he was staring blushed and shied away. "Oh, it's all right. I am a bit tired too...hmm perhaps I should be headed home or to Storms farm. Maybe I could get back before sunrise if I left now..." She started contemplating how long it would take to get her to either location, and if she could make it on her injured hoof.

"That would be appreciated greatly." She replied to the smiling stallion, "Yes she does live with me, she is my older sister's daughter, she lives with me and helps me take care of my tavern, she also sells books from there." She smiled, "Would you mind just escorting us to my friend Storm's farm? That was our goal, and I don't believe I have the energy to walk all the way back to town."

Decan stretched and walked to the tavern next door. Hello... MaryAnne ? Ruby ? He called, Walking behind the bar into the kitchen. Where is everypony ? He thought, walking out into the bar and out the door onto the street. I guess i'll go get some wood so I can fix those tables. He thought as he trotted into his house too grab an axe.

Storm shuddered a bit at the thought of Chancy's brother and made a pained expression at the tough of the earth pony. She noticed that Chancy had become aware too and had been trying to hide her sorrow and Storm became curious.

Her curiosity was so bad she forgot about the race and her eagerness to reach Canterlot as soon as she could. "What is it about your brother that makes you feel like that? You seem to leave this place with mixed feelings? We've got twelve walking hours ahead so you can tell me everything!" she smiled honestly

"It would be a pleasure." The stallion replaced his monocle and strode back towards the mural doors. He took a quick glance at Luna, watching her graceful form dance across the wooden sky... he loved the night.

Turning about, he beckoned for the two to follow him as he began to descend the stairs. During the brief moment he had out of her line-of-sight, Silvermane let a breath go and shut his eyes momentarily... images of MaryAnne drifting into his vision as the shadows of the ground floor caressed him in a dark navy silk.

((Do a skip to the farm if you want, or we can do the whole journey??))

MaryAnne nodded, "Thank you sir." She followed him down the stairs and out of his home. "Thank you for showing us your lovely home, Lord SilverMane. And your divine view of the night sky and the stars." She added on. She checked over her shoulder to assure herself that Ruby was still there, which she was. Then turned back to face SilverMane as he led them out of his estate and onto the road. "It should be about a twenty minute walk around that bend."

"The honor was all ours m'lord. Thank you for accompanying us." She smiled back. She pushed the gate open with ease, the rusted hinges creaking. She grimaced and stepped through it. "Well, you may head back to your own estate, it has been a wonderful evening." She smiled at him, then frowned as she worried about the state of her friends farm. "I hope to see you in my tavern soon. Untill we meet again." She and Ruby closed the gate behind them and entered Storms farm.

The abandoned farm was frightening in the dark of night and the wind blowing through the trees sounded like the eerie whistles and moans of ghosts and frightening monsters. She shivered as the spooky surroundings sent chills up her spine. She approached the front door and found it was left wide open.

She entered the farm house and found it's darkness disnerving. She checked the drawers for matches to light the candles distributed around the house, but found none. She wandered into the hallway in whichthe bedrooms were located. "Ruby, you sleep in that bedroom, when it is light, we should clean and check on the house. I will sleep in this bedroom." She opened the door to Ruby's room and left her there. She entered the other bedroom and crawled underneath the quilted blanket. She quickly fell asleep.

That night she dreamed, she dreamed of SilverMane and of a future when Equestria was in balance, and all was well. In this dream, she and SilverMane well...were in love.

Upon awaking to the sickly crow of an underfed rooster, she sat up and shook her head. What a...pleasent...dream. She thought to herself. She pulled herself out of the bed and walked over to an armoir. She looked at her image in the mirror and touched her face and mane. She looked disheveled, and her fur had dirt in it. Oh what nonsense was that dream, a future impossible, in all ways. She shook her head. In an attempted to make herself look presentable, she brushed her mane and tail. She splashed her face with water and tried to wash out the dirt from her fur with a wash cloth. Still unhappy with her appearence she left the room and entered the kitchen.

(OOC: OOOHHH)

Decan Flew out of town towards the Everfree forest which was glowing in the light of the moon. I wonder where Maryanne and ruby went. He thought, Landing on the outskirts of the forest and starting to hack away at a tree.

After several hours of work the sun could just be seen on the horizon. I better get back into town. He thought.

He started dragging two medium sized logs back down the road. On his way he passed by a large barn. I wonder who lives there. He thought.
