Trilby looks at Addie. "Oh, I'm fine. I just wonder if you're okay traveling with me. I am loving the energy and the drive you've got! But we still don't know that much about each other. Should I tell you more about me? Do you want to share more about yourself?"

"You can go first. I wanna learn more about my new friend!" Addie said with a cute giggle, looking at Trilby, eagerly waiting for him to tell his story. The train had departed Ponyville and was making its way through a field-like facade.

Trilby smiles. "Thank you, Addie. Well, this is not the first time I've had to move around. Not many ponies can make a living out of selling clothes, let alone clothing accessories. But making hats is my passion. Seeing the joy on other ponies' faces, knowing I've given them a new lease on life simply by giving them a hat that really connects with them... I live for those moments. It's how I got my cutie mark in the first place." Trilby explains. He sees Ponyville getting smaller as the train departs. "I had a good run in Ponyville, but ultimately I couldn't compete with Rarity's clothing store, Carousel Boutique. She's pretty much cornered the market on clothing, and now she's a monopoly there. Oh, but don't be mad at Rarity! She wasn't trying to run me out of business. She's really nice. This was just a case of, the best pony won. Now it's time for me to find a place where ponies want a hat store." Trilby explains.

He turns to Addie and leaves the floor open to her now. She can ask questions, make comments, or tell her story now if she wants to.

”Oh? I know Rarity. She one time made this awesome lab coat for me. What other cities or towns are you looking to sell your hats?” Addie asked curiously, also eager to tell her story.

"Well one time I tried to set up shop in Canterlot, that was a mistake, let me tell you. Heh. And there was the one time in Fillinois. But that's enough about me. Tell me more about yourself!" Trilby says, happy to hear Addie's story.

"Well, I was born in Ponyville and at one time, I actually had 4 cutie marks! That is...until they all came together!" Addie said, showing her cutie mark once more. I got my first cutie mark when I taught myself to play piano, my second after winning the science fair, my third after winning in soccer, and my fourth after discovering I could do magic! Watch this!" Addie said as she gathered some energy. She made a ball of energy appear and focused hard. The ball of energy...suddenly turned into a apple and dropped into Addie's hooves. "Want it?" Addie asked.

Trilby is practically speechless at all of this new information. "Well I'll be... An earth pony that can do magic. Amazing! This is exactly what I wanted! To meet other extraordinary ponies and creatures as I set out on adventure. I've never heard of nor seen such phenomenon in my life. You must be truly special." Trilby admires.

Then he remembers her question about the apple. "...Is it safe? It's not going to explode in my hooves or melt my insides, is it?"

"It's a fresh apple!" Addie said with a cute giggle, holding it out towards Trilby, waiting for him to take it. Addie took a quick glance out the window. She saw what seemed to be a sort of desert region approaching.

Trilby takes a bite. He is surprised. "That's peak ripeness." Trilby says between bites.

But soon, he can hear the train and the conductor shouting that train has arrived at Dodge Junction. The doors are opening to let out passengers and welcome in new passengers.

"Well, it's a trek on hoof from here on..." Addie started, but remember a super secret magic spell she discovered one day. She turned to face Trilby. "...or is it?" She asked Trilby with a cooky smirk on her face. It would be quite the trek on hoof, so Addie's secret spell would save them quite some time.

Trilby gets up from his seat, ready to follow Addie out. "Hmm?" Trilby says, surprised by her cryptic comment. "Oh. I've got a feeling... A feeling deep inside. Oh yeah." Trilby says to himself, curious to see where this goes.

Addie dug deep and focused. Her body began to glow. Suddenly, true pegasus wings sprouted from Addie's sides. Addie spread them out proudly. "Tada! I'm a pegasus now!" Addie said with a cute giggle, flapping her wings and getting a little height, before landing back down on all four hooves. "They only last for a certain amount of time, around 20 minutes. I can't use this spell too much, as it would wear me out. Let's see if we could at least get to the place where Somnambula is." Addie explained.

...Somewhere in the very distant land of Japone to the east, an armored asian pony practically screams with jealousy, and he has no idea why...

For the here and now, Trilby's eyes go wide. "Ooh~" He finds himself applauding. "Does it take a lot out of you to do stuff like that?" Trilby asks, wondering if he's suppose to ride on her back, or follow on hoof.

"It does take quite a bit of energy. You can ride on my back. Don't worry, I can handle the weight." Addie said getting down so that Trilby could get on her back. Addie could fly with extra weight on her back with a magic boost. However, she would have to fly faster because the magic boost decreases the duration of her pegasus wings.

With a bit of awkward trepidation, Trilby takes Addie at her word and lightly hops on her back. "Hi-yo, Addie! Away!" Trilby playfully says, pointing forward. (Character limit, character limit, character limit.)

Addie leaped into the air, a pink aura surrounding her. She flapped her wings and gained more speed as the train station started to get farther and farther away from them. Addie continued with fly with Trilby on her back. She could see a caravan of Saddle Arabian ponies down below. "Hey look! Saddle Arabians!" Addie exclaimed with a cute giggle.

"Then I think this is the first stop of our journey. Feel free to land, Addie." Trilby says, wanting to get off before the magic wears off, or before he becomes too heavy. In this place where Arabian ponies live, Trilby can all ready hear the music of their culture in the air.

"We haven't even flown for half the time yet!" Addie said with a giggle as she flew past a few more caravans moving west of the direction that Addie and Trilby were going. "We could probably stop by Saddle Arabia after Somnambula's place. They could know something too..." Addie supposed.

Derp. "All right then. It's your stamina." Trilby says as he takes in the sights. "So what kind of adventurer is Daring Do like, anyways?" Might as well familiarize himself with her legend since he's doing this quest.

"She makes sure that sacred idols are where they belong. Sadly, this group of baddies framed her for stealing lots of sacred idols and that was the first time she went into hiding. Then, things returned to normal, but now...I don't know what's going on. I'll let you read all my Daring Do books when we find a place to settle." Addie explained.

Trilby nods. "That might be a lot to read for one day. I know her books can be rather thick. But didn't she also make enemies with non-pony creatures? What's the name of that one guy... Azuzal? Aesop? Awoozert?" Trilby asks, trying to recall the name of that four-legged creature he randomly heard about.

[Addie]

"Auizhotl!" Addie said with a cute giggle. She saw Somnambula's place up ahead and started to descend. She landed gently on the ground, and made her pegasus wings disappear for the time being."Now to look for Somnambula..." Addie said as she looked around her surroundings.

Trilby nods. "Right! Ahuizotl. Guess Daring Do attracts a lot of danger." Trilby says. Once near the ground, Trilby hops off and helps Addie look around. He tries to talk to one of the natives, but some of them speak a very different language than he does.

"We might have to try to find Somnambula herself to figure out this language...unless..." Addie stopped and focused her magic. She then made a book appear with a poof. It was a book on languages." Addie looked through the pages. It was taking a little time.

While Addie looked through the book, Trilby was actually having luck decoding the local language! "Hal haqaa? Qutn 'umm harir? Shukran lika! Niem. Shukran lika." Trilby says as he parts ways with the citizen he just met. "Well that was fascinating!"
