A movie, a 2D YouTube series, multiple specials, a Netflix series, a video game, AND a VR app?

Hasbro is going all-in on G5.

A VR app? Well this is new. Hasbro really seems to be embracing this VR idea. (I feel like Hasbro said that they were doing some other VR thing too, right?)

I wonder how long it'll be and how much it'll reveal:  are her parents alive?  What was her upbringing like?  What did she do for a living in Bridlewood?

Considering how little is known about the past of G5's main characters, especially with Izzy, I am interested to see what her backstory is. The contrast between her personality and that of the rest of the Bridlewood forest could be an interesting concept to further explore.

That being said, this reminds me of a complaint I made earlier about how Hasbro seems to be dividing G5 into multiple series rather than focusing the franchise on one series. Not only does the generation seem to be spit among two series, but also books, comics, games, etc. While G4 did have comics and books on the side, they more so just explored side digressions rather than play a major part in the overarching story of the generation itself. With this generation, it seems like viewers may have to read and look into all the side content in order to understand the story and characters of the series (similar, in a way, to some games when it comes to DLC).

Hopefully this generation can still manage to somewhat streamline its story.
