Going back for exam results

Now when you mentioned that it's mine too :D hmm but if I think about it, I always like to go back in my memory to my chemistry classes. Our teacher, who was very strict with us at first, liked to talk and make jokes with us during our final year and it was a nice escape from the thoughts about upcoming finals and worries about what's next...

Walking out with a massive bag of old books.

My high-school let the seniors out 2 weeks before everyone else. I didn't really have any immediate summer plans, and none of my classes were grade specific, plus I had like 2 late assignments I still wanted to turn in. Not only that, but if books hadn't been check out from the library after so many years they would move them to a backroom where anyone could take them home for free.

So I board the bus like usual, attend a few classes like usual, turn in those assignments, and I go to the library to pick out as many books as I can that were printed before 1950, and boy were there quite a fee.

I think it was my 4th period class, Culinary, where something was said. My teacher was like, hey, aren't you a senior? And she tells me to stay there and stepped into her office as the room was a series of open spaced kitchen stations with tables in the center. I was confused and no one else nor I saw any issue. I was following the lesson and had business there that day. None of my other teachers raised any alarms.

Well a few minutes later the school resource officer walks into the class, has me come outside, and asks what I'm doing. I explain, and he let's me know that I'm technically trespassing. I'm in disbelief. We haven't had our graduation ceremony yet. I have my School ID for that year and all of my supplies. He asks me how I usually get home. I say the bus, and he gives me two options. Either I can be taken home in the back of a squad car, or I can go sit in the library where I can be supervised till the end of the day, take said bus and not come back. I opted for the latter and picked out some more books!

So the last memory of me, at least for my culinary classmates, is being escorted out of the room with no explanation. :P

For a day where I saw for the last time some of the entities who had a important role in my journey, I must say that it felt kinda empty, quite literally too because there was almost no one there. Of course i didn't like some of the teachers, but a few of them I really felt that they actually cared about me, I actually think they were much closer to being my friends than any of the students, so I think I should've gave a better bye bye for them :worry:

But that means you made some good memories. Some people hated school and would never come back to these times in their memories. If I were a teacher I would be very happy if any of my students feel this way :Pip-giggle:

If we include post-secondary here, it would be me finally getting my degree eleven years ago at the age of 31. If that doesn't count, then it would have to be during my high school graduation. Someone decided to perform 'the worm' and there was nothing but silence. Whether or not the guy (I don't even remember who he was) got any praise or got condemned for it remains to be seen.

Now when you mentioned it I remember getting my degree. Because of the lockdwon during COVID and online final exams I got my degree sent via post. We didn't have any closing ceremony nor solemn speeches at the end. It just ended like that. Most of the people wern't even near the college that moment. We just gone our own ways and never seen each other again. Shame...

For high school it was the mind numbingly long graduation ceremony and just how miserable I was while wearing the world’s most uncomfortable dress shoes.

For college it was celebrating with the random people I was next to during graduation. We were assigned seating by college and last name so I didn’t know anyone I got seated by.

If graduations don’t count uhhhh… I honestly don’t really remember. I guess it would be taking my final exams for both.

I quit school at 17 years old unfinished, beacuse off the bullying... My last day was a relief, I just stayed in my bed and told my parents I don't want to go anymore. I was Happy... But the things just started to get worse. Almost I can't see or read any story about high school fun & games, beacuse all I lived since I have memory was psychological abuse, fear, death threats and physical abuse. I still carry too much scars, that made me unable to work or living a normal life... But things are going better.

That's really sad, I understand that school can be deliver a bad experience to many and truly influence negatively someone's social life, but based on your age, even though you decided to give up on it, it shows how you was strong enough to take it for many years, I really hope you're truly feeling better now and the path of your life is bright! ☆ :hug_day:

Thank you, really... the worst part of it it's how my family denied my suffering until 2020. Now I'm feeling much much better!  Sometimes seeing shows about High Schools or the like it makes me really sad... (Equestria Girls is an exception) but yeah, I'm feeling much better. Thank you. :hug_day:

I am really sorry. I hear sometimes such stories and just can't understand why adults, who should guide young people in their early life, let this happen. I know in some cases they may not know about the problem but this is a minority. Sometimes you can't interfere because young people need to settle things by themselves but there are also cases in which adults must interfere or else it may end as a tragedy... I am happy you managed to overcome this. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. You can do it.

My last memory was sprinting for the exit as soon as I got my meaningless diploma for graduating Junior High. There was a party afterward and I told everyone I’d be there but I blew it all off and got away as fast as I could. I could not get away from that living hell fast enough.

I do not remember my last day of high school or anything like that. What I do remember is what must have been the last days of band where we were in the band room but there were no chairs, no instruments. I remember being with a couple of friends, including my ex, who was back then merely a newer friend of mine.
