Goodra 531 December 13, 2011 Author Share December 13, 2011 Meh ponies don't make you any less of a man, and neither does wearing pink. You should just march in proudly like a boss in a straight bee line for the loot, buy it proudly, put it up in your room proudly, and if people ask shrug if off like a boss, proudly. Or you could just always bulk up to the point where people won't dare to question your masculinity. Im working on option 2 currently, got a six pack and some purdy big arm muscles. Eeyup! StarGazer 129 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 You're parents will love you no matter what. They may not always understand you but they will always love you. If your friends make fun of you because of ponies and think you're a loser, then they weren't really friends and were just dumb people.

Goodra 531 December 13, 2011 Author Share December 13, 2011 More of the reason to show your parents! It's different, the other friend knew a male audience liked the show because two of his other friends at his school are bronies. My parents don't plus, my mom grew up with the original version. StarGazer 129 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 I always told myself that if i had kids, girls or boys, I would force MLP on them. They will love it! Maybe you should start with your mom since she likes it.

Demi 545 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 Mmm I wouldn't say it's exactly like that anymore, per se. More Power Puff Girl-ish, feminine but masculine enough for all to enjoy. Even my old man loved PPG. Meh, every man has to have some kind of weak side I'd say. Let this be your motivation poster.
StarGazer 129 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 It might actually make her like you more I think it would be more manly to admit you like a "show for little girls" and own it than to hide it . It's like guys who wear hot pink and look so confident in it you wouldn't even dare think to insult them.
w1kk3d 56 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 What do I use as an excuse to go to target and/or walmart (besides groceries)? When I buy a pony, how do I get it past my parents and to my room without them wondering what I bought? Where do I hide it in my room? Lastly and most importantly, what do I say if they find it? I just told my parents straight up! I'm going to buy some My Little Pony stuff!! Idk about you guys, but the Toys"R"Us here has a buy one get one free on ALL MLP merch!! Bronies should check it out! Apple Bloom 2,933 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 I just told my parents straight up! I'm going to buy some My Little Pony stuff!! Idk about you guys, but the Toys"R"Us here has a buy one get one free on ALL MLP merch!! Bronies should check it out! That's exactly what I did! My grandmother, cousin, and I went to another town to do some Christmas shopping and I straight up told them I wanted to go to Toys R Us to see what pony stuff they had. Specifically I was looking for pony wrapping paper but they didn't have it so I noticed the 2 for 1 sale and got the Twilight and Pinkie brushables. I took Pinkie out in the car and put her on the dash. Getting back to the topic though, It really is better when you just come out and tell them. I used to hide it but I enjoy ponies much more when I can share them with others. Signature by @Nico. Come join us for movies and more! Jeremy 128 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 I say let the merchandise speak for itself. But if it's an excuse you're after then try saying you're going to meet up with a friend. But don't just say that, you gotta think ahead of time. Let them know you're using them as an alibi. That way, if any phone calls (for whatever reason) are made, they'll know to cover for you. Demi 545 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 I don't bother with the actual dolls (jk) but I did see a Rainbow Dash shirt at the mall. Hoping to get it tomorrow if they have smalls.
Viscra Maelstrom 3,718 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 oh my, i haven't bought any pony merch since... the middle of this summer. and that was with my father with me, admittedly. there are far worse gulity pleasures in the world than liking Friendship is Magic. i found it hard to admit it at first, but they were completely accepting towards it, and i always walk around with my Vinyl Sratch shirt now. the only one that have given me flak for liking it is my little brother, and frankly i couldn't care less what he thinks about it. i do find it odd though that no one in school has asked about my shirt. i should order a pink Pinkie Pie shirt and just walk in there one day wearing it. and not a single fuck would of been given that day. =P Soundcloud---------Twitter---------Tumblr---------DeviantArt
Mr. Shoe 20 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 Looks like stereotypes about Americans are false (well, moast of them). From the looks of it, you guys have same nice people that understand and support one's hobbys/likes or if they don't like what you like, they don't rub it into your face and still keep on being friends with you. Here at Europe it's a another story. As i said before, If I would say I liked MLP to friends/family, They would laugh at me and probably stop being friends with me. Well, I wouldn't give a f**k about it, but i'm worried that if I needed help at something, they wouldn't help me or just help me primitively. About the topic, It's not worth buying things that you can't share with your loved ones nor friends. Though good luck with your ninja plans on buying those toys. When I buy a pony, how do I get it past my parents and to my room without them wondering what I bought? Where do I hide it in my room? Lastly and most importantly, what do I say if they find it? Well if you want to get out to the mall/target, you could say "I am going out with a few friends to the (Wherever you end up)" and when you return, hide it under a jacket or something. I do not suggest lying though if they are able to see your savings account or anything like that. If you have a bank account that is.
Skylight Silvermane 12 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 (edited) Anything besides Pony Figurines, I might be interested - otherwise, spending time rather than money on ponies is worth the savings as there is always enough pony out there to last a lifetime. ingster 16 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 Well I don't live close to a store that sells such things, and often when I leave to go somewhere, I'm often with one or two other peaple, so it would be hard for the excuse........I would just order the things online and avoid the matter to begin with As for getting it past them......Well, as I said, I'm gunna be ordering it online, so I would leave the mail boxing in it untill I get to mah room and then open it in there I'll just keep it mixed up with mah other game figures, hideing behind a white cabnet thing in mah room so it's not so noticeable, so when it's seen, it would be more mistaken for a game charicter then for what it is I'll just mention that it's from a game I get on alot, and that the ponie related stuff I have is some of the charicters from it, and that it was a gift someone sent me
